A Depressing Observation

I'm excited for the next game, I'm excited about our team, and I'm excited that Jason Garrett is our head coach. Here is the depressing part:

If Jason Garrett can't bring us to a Super Bowl I don't think any other coach will ever be able to as long as Jerry is our owner and GM. No coach will understand how to deal with and work with Jerry the way Jason does since he's been within the organization for so long. The relationship Jerry has with Jason is clearly different than what you'd see from other coaches. If you ask me, which I'm sure you don't want to, Jerry looks at, and talks to Jason like a son. I think it takes a tremendous amount of patience to work with Jerry; something only Jason has with the man.

I will root like crazy for Jason to succeed and have his back no matter what because I truly believe he is our last shot. He is our saving grace. So everyone who is calling for JG's head needs to think long and hard about what they are asking for.

Here's to hoping and praying Jason Garrett can do this because if not I'm afraid we are doomed as long as Jerry is still running the show.

I never thought of that he should have a good relationship. Well at least theres one reason to like him lol. 1,099 to not like him.

JG's problem has nothing to do with personnel. If as a player you can't focus, and as a coach you can't get guys to focus because of anything the owner says/does, then that's a sign of either ineptitude or mental weakness.

How did BP go to the playoffs with Quincy freaking Carter as his QB? How did Wade get his team to 13-3?....How did Jimmy Johnson win 2 Super Bowls?

People can blame Jerry all they want, and maybe he's a part to blame as GM. But if a coach can't "deal with" him, then that's a major flaw in the coach.

A football organization, like any business, consists of many cogs. The GM is the person ultimately responsible for putting those cogs in place, regardless of the number of cogs or the responsibilities delegated to each cog.

Admittedly, the GM has a tough job, and that's why so many struggle building teams that can win in the playoffs consistently.

Over the past decade or so, we've been waiting for Jerry to demonstrate the ability to put in the right cogs in place. All we can do is hope for the best.

The problem with that is that they all seem to get fed up with him and leave after a short period of time. Two of our best coaches left because of that.

When the owner undermines his coach, players lose respect for that coach... Players in the past have went over the coaches head and went straight to Jerry to discuss some issues.. Thats a HUGE HUGE problem... That is NOT a healthy way to run a team.. It's not.. Im not saying it happens alot, but we know it has happened and that should never happen PERIOD

Jason is an excellent coach. And ah think players respect him. But ah don't think any players are afraid of him.

Fear is a big part of how a team is motivated.
