I've been one of the biggest posters AGAINST TO here, from the start.

But he's a Cowboy now, and I'll always be a cowboys fan, so what am I to do?

I was brainstorming the last couple of days, and I came up with this.

TO was a 49er.

He is one of the big reasons the 49ers went to crap.

TO was an Eagle.

He is one of the big reasons the Eagles are not crap.

...

...

...

Any self respecting cowboys fan hates the 49ers.

Any self respecting Cowboys fan hates the Eagles.

...

...

...

So... in essence... he's ruined two of the Cowboys biggest rivals.

...

Isn't that a GOOD thing? I mean he didn't destroy them singlehandedly, but he did have a part.

So in a way, he's been an asset to the cowboys, in a wierd sort of way.

He is a cowboy now and he could end up having a hand in destroying us as well, but he's 32 now. If he's ever to learn from his mistakes, now's the time to do it. Not to mention, if there is a coach that malcontents love to play for, it's BP. He seems to get the best out of malcontents like TO. And I'm not talking about football. I'm talking about as a person.

Now, of all the things TO has done, I really don't have a HUGE problem with them except for one thing.

The Star incident is over (before I go on, this doesn't mean all the sudden I think nothing of Teague as many of you losers now do. He's a legend for what he did, and he always will be). TO went to the star once, and Emmitt came right back and restored it's shine when he did the same. TO went to the star a second time, and Teague knocked him the hell off.

Ok, I can forgive that. Emmitt and Teague defended the star. It's not like TO got away with it.

TO complained about his contract. I believe a player should honor his contract. I always will. But I'm not gonna hate a guy forever for complaining about his money. LOTS of players do it, including Jevon Walker who I was hoping we'd trade for. Even Emmitt held out cuz of money issues.

I can get passed that.

The one thing I will not tolerate is calling out a teammate. Now, I'll take Fagnola's advice on this one (yes, hell has frozen over) and wipe the slate clean. I mean, I really don't have a choice now.

I'll forget what he has done in the past as far as calling out his teammates. But if he does it while in Dallas, to ANY teammate (past or present) he will recieve a permanent place in my ****house hall of fame.

There is absolutely NO reason to call out a teammate. If you have something to tell them, you do it in private to their face. You do NOT drag out your issue to and/or through the media.

So, TO, as long as you don't go badmouthing your teammates (or former teammates) everything will be fine.

The slate is wiped clean. I'm not a TO lover all of the sudden, I'm just gonna try and stop hating him. If he proves himself while in Dallas (as Keyshawn did) then everything will be fine.

I can't go through a season loving the cowboys, but hating a cowboy player. My heart can't handle it (literally, I think I'd end up having a heart attack).

I'm a man, I can forgive and forget. If he really is willing to embrace the star, then I can forgive and forget.

Now, prove what you said on saturday is true. Talk is cheap.

I loved TO when he destroyed the Niners, even more when he took down the Eagles. I would have loved him to death had he become Danny Snyders play toy.

Hes a player in Dallas now, that doesnt make him a cowboy. He will never be a Cowboy in my eyes.

Until he gets 14 TD's this season and you buy anything with his name on it. :laugh2:

How about justifying it this way:

We're gonna win more games with him around.

I'm thinking you might want to edit that...

Crapola. I was watching TV when I posted that.

But you know what I meant. :D

Everyone keeps saying he ruined the 49rs. Listen the 49rs weren't that good anyway, they were on the decline. if anything he covered a lot of their weakness. He didn't ruin them.

As far as the eagles go , they had good run but were on the decline defensively. The turmoil was as much the eagle egocentrism as TOs. The cowboys are on the upswing defensively. He can't ruin that. he can only make them better by practicing hard.

People seem to forget that we won a superbowl in 95 with very tense locker room. Remember Haley ranting about switzers heads games.

The thing TO gives us is a killer mentality. Like Haley, he has the potential to kill some of his own players, but if channeled correctly he will be a GREAT locker room addition.

right on brother!!
i wish i had said it first!

My point is that TO is NOT the reason those franchises went to crap, they were on their way to crap-land. I don't think one player can destroy your franchise with a bad attitude, It's just media Drama.

I never said it was TO's bad attitude that ruined those teams.

And I DID clearly say that it wasn't ALL TO that ruined those teams.

I've already posted it once, I don't see why I should have to post the exact same thing again. Read my post again, more carefully this time, and you may get my point.

You took the words right out of my mouth Rack. All this talk about T.O. destroying two teams that I, as a Cowboys fan, hate. That's not a terrible thing in my eyes. I, for one, will give him a chance and see how he does with the star on his helmet.

If he starts calling Bledsoe out in public, I'll assume he's at least trying to destroy the franchise.
