A Dose of Perspective

Cowboys are not the giants plain and simple. They are more talented, more disciplined, have more heart, more drive, better coached, better organization, a gm who cares/knows more about football.

Where are Choice and Ball playing now?

Here is a dose for you: look at the Giants recent history and look at our recent history...

Here is another dose for you: Before Jerry this franchise had a winning % of 62.6% (including the dismal expansion years), with Jerry their % is now 53.5%.

Choice is 3rd string RB in Buffalo.
Ball is backup CB in Houston

Winning % may not be the best measure anymore. Before Jerry teams were allowed to stay all powerful, today you have basically everyone being = or parity as the league likes to call it. Today you have maybe 4 really good teams and the rest of the league just beats up on each other. Definitely not as much fun.

I think the best perspective would come from looking at boards for the other teams that haven't sniffed a taste of success in decades.

Like Arizona. Wait a sec, they just went to a SB.

Or Seattle, they suck. Wait, they also went to one not long ago.

Tampa Bay? Carolina? St. Louis? Surely they all suck and... wait. All have been to the dance since the new millenia...

Surely Oakland, let me look... ******!

Cowboy fans are truly in the ninth circle of Hell.

Either some of you are not very smart, or you missed the entire purpose of this thread.

Just realize that the team is 2-2 right now, which is what most of us predicted. At the end of the day, how pretty you win and lose doesn't matter. Also, we won the most important game of the first 4 against the Giants.

I think it is normal to be upset when your team isn't performing up to what they are capable of, but plenty of fans have to go through it.

Like the Giants fans last year; calling for Coughlin's head, Eli sucks, defense is weak, team lacks heart, has no killer instinct, etc.

Look what happened to them last year.

I would say how you lose matters if it seems to get progressively worse and it truly has indeed!

Hey bud, we have been down this road before...things don't get better. You are comparing a mediocre team with zero real experience and zero history to say that this is not a continually trend, to a playoff hardened team, with Superbowl veterans, Superbowl coaches. Apples to oranges. And you want to say others are not very smart?

Oh yeah, and take a look back at our record last year at this point, should look pretty familiar. We had numerous posts at that time to saying we were in a good position, how did that turn out?

This is a 7-9 team this year. Will be a 7-9 to 9-7 team for the rest of Jerry's time here, with an occasional fluke of 10-6 and one and done in the playoffs.

and you clearly know very little about how a football team that actually wins is built

Giants win we don't

as desperately you try to sound like you know something you fail miserably

Buffalo just got blown the **** out against New England.

Alan Ball is Alan Ball.

Seriously? Is this what the fandom on this site has come to?

I understand where you're coming from. I also understand that you're not saying that we will win the Super Bowl but rather this team has the opportunity to turn things around.

Just like all other teams that are struggling. May happen, may not. Others may not see it and go on attacking a message that's not being spoken.

I suppose that's their prerogative.

Good post.

It's funny, though. It's like every fan base resorts to calling their team " soft" "primadonnas", "losers" regardless of recent success. Kinda loses it's impact after a while.

Maybe it just means that those that lose their minds after every loss shouldn't be taken at face value.
