Answering some folks in this thread just so they know what is going on.
This morning 2 posters informed me that there was another Imposter posing as me over on dcc.com (Dallas Cowboys Central). Yes, there was an imposter before this one.
I do realize they probably won't give out the IP number because it is probably one of the two of them. The reason I say this is because though they have responded to this Imposter with "doubts" it is me, the fact of the matter is the Imposter used the language and inside jokes they use non stop in their inside jokes, and they know as well as I do that it is exagerated nonsense. Their surprise at me being impostered is all nonsense.
The first time this happened the first words the imposter said were to the effect of "it didn't work out for me to be a Mod so I'd try as a regular member." They both know I was never even invited to the site, much less offered a position as Mod. In other words, they have known twice that these are fakes. Their mock surprise is just more nonsense.
For the record, I have no intention of banning the person who is the Imposter. I'd just like to know why they can't discuss an issue they have with me to my face.
Also for the record, if you see a poster by the name of "Hostile" or "TooHostile" on that site, or any variation of the name you may rest assured that it is not me and is in fact a fake. I have no intention of ever joining their site. Why would I? I already know I would not be welcome.
I have nothing against dcc.com or the posters there, even though there are 2 guys there that I hope I never meet personally. Whatever it is they feel I have done to them does not justify in my mind the childish levels to which they stoop. I don't dislike anyone, but I have very little respect for them and their petty agendas.
They are the owners or administrators of that site so they can do or say whatever they want. In fact, they do.
For example, we have a poster here who got banned there for "circumventing the use of the f-word." They do it, but he was banned for it.
Another poster here got banned for creditting a poster here for his sig line picture instead of letting people think it was original by him. These are the same guys who accused us of being "*****" or "the Gestapo" because we enforced site rules or Guidelines that they didn't like or agree with. By all means folks, feel free to use a sig line from another site or credit a poster from another site. We won't ban you here.
Another poster here was recently banned over there even though he has not posted over there for 2 or 3 months. That's right, you don't even have to break a rule there to get banned.
Again, it's their site and they can run it as they wish and flex their Admin or Mod muscles all they want. It's what they have always wanted, to be in control and have the ultimate say. In their minds that is what being a Mod really means, that everyone else has to bow and scrape to them.
On the old site, the 3 of us (with Dale and boozeman as witnesses) all agreed to "bury the hatchet" and move on. I am the only one of the three who actually lived up to my promise. I don't dislike them. You don't see me making up lies, innuendos, and such about them. Neither they nor their site are a daily subject of my posts here, the way this site and I am over there, nor will it ever be.
They hate me or are obsessed with me for some strange reason. They even call this site "TheHostileZone" in their petty little jokes. That's their business. If they enjoy being childish, or enjoy their hatred, let them. More power to them. I hope their constant inside jokes about me truly do amuse them. Who gives a flying crap?
For those who don't know what inside jokes I am talking about by all means PM me and I will try to explain, even though I am not a psychology major.
There are some good people at their site that I miss. When I go there it is to read what they have to say about stuff. I do read some good Cowboys related stuff there once in a while. I certainly have no problem with anyone here being a member in good standing there. Be aware that friendship with me can cause you grief over there. I am sorry about that. Not my choice.
