A few observations on the game

1. We WON!!! Despite Romo throwing 5 INTs plus a fumble we still pulled out a victory. Romo admitted that he had a bad day, I like it when a player just comes out and says that he sucked. The good thing is that he never gave up and kept fighting and we won.

2. The defense played very well again, only giving up 3 points to their offense. We are still not putting pressure on the QB but they came up big when they needed to.

3. The refs were HORRIBLE! The BS delay of game penalty on Owens early in the game for tossing the ball was pathetic. Their non call on the guy who plowed into McBriar, the lack of a PI call on the guy defending Owens in the endzone on the 2-pt conversion try (the guys hands were all over Owens with his back to the ball), the lack of holding calls on the Bills OL on several plays, the play where Owens clearly was pushed out of bounds after getting one foot in, etc...

4. Owens also had a bad day but we probably won't hear him admit it. I was just talking about how much he had changed and that I might actually come to like the guy, then he pulls a stinker like this one. I think I'll put changing my mind about him on hold for now.

5. The Bills came out FIRED UP, particularly on defense and they played very inspired throughout the game. That stadium was really loud and their fans were totally into the game. It was gratifying to see the looks on their faces at the end though. Their coverage in particular was outstanding and the LBs did a good job of reading the plays.

6. This wasn't the best game by our coaching staff either as I thought our playcalling was a bit predictable and we didn't seem to make adjustments, of course it could have just been that the Bills' defense was playing that good and we couldn't find much that worked against them.

7. The announcers were terrible. Typical BSPN losers who don't have a clue. Trying to be entertaining rather than calling the damn game. I also hate all the news breaks during the action and the large graphics that distract from the play on the field.

8. Witten seemed to be lethargic and not into the game early on, which led to the first 2 INTs IMO.

9. We got to see some passes to the FB for a change and Deon Anderson did a good job with them.

10. Nick Folk is my hero! I said it before the game and I'll say it again, he was the best draft pick we made this year.

I'm sure there's a lot I missed but it is 2:00 am here and I need to get to bed.

Last point: A win is a win!

Thing is, if TO catches that 2-pointer, we might not have won.

Strange, but true.

Yeah, I thought about that too. Going into OT in their building is a big chance.

This is on the money- 3. The refs were HORRIBLE! The BS delay of game penalty on Owens early in the game for tossing the ball was pathetic. Unless we turned the ball over again or they ran back the kickoff again, I'm pretty certain we would have won. We scored on six of our eight possessions when we didn't turn the ball over, and the Bills scored on only one of their nine possessions.

But maybe the kick return or turnover would have been likely, I don't know.

We moved the ball pretty well against them until we turned it over so it is likely that we would have won had it gone into OT but with the way the calls & bounces were going against us, and in their house, nothing is certain.

In the end, I'm happy with the result, but whew! Let's not have too many more like that this year Boys.

One last thing, isn't it nice to finally have a kicker we can rely on?

Good explanation of an incredible but often unexplainable game. I think you're a little critical about Witten though. Witten's lethargy was probably just miscommunication between Romo and him.

He just looked a bit lackluster on the 2nd INT. After that though, he woke up and played a great game.

Looking forward to seeing more of him.

Our kick coverage is horrible.

I didn't think TO played a bad game. Romo was horrible and even when one of his passes was not intercepted it was still off target. The receivers were having to make acrobatic catches on pretty much every reception.

It is difficult to assign blame to a lot of players in this game because Romo was so putrid. His performance sticks out and becomes the main reason it was such a difficult win. Then next would be the kick off coverage team that allowed the TD return. They never closed in on the ball carrier out of their lanes. Then Anderson tried to run around his block, which opened up a hole.
