How come our Cb's line up 8 yards off the wr when the first down is 5 yards off?

Why do we not run Slants more? Roy caught a quick one today and broke a tackle and dragged some guys. Hes a big guy. Austins quick and fast, if he gets the ball he could make a play off a slant.

Why do we look so good one drive, virtually unstoppable and than the next drive its a 3 and out?

why do i have to keep hearing about how much "talent" this team has? Its disgusting.

1. Slants require timing, accuracy and smart QB play to not force it. It seems like our route of choice the skinny post and Witten Curl are safer than 5 step slant patterns with Romo at the helm.

2. Penalties, or mental mistakes will kill a Cowboy drive 9 times out 10.

3. Yeah it is frustrating... This team had talent but needs to retool and find some personality. The Cowboys don't scare anyone anymore.

Slants are not that hard. With a quick reciever like austin and a big bodied receiver like williams we should be able to go to them a few times a game. Plus we have a qb with one of the "quickest releases" ever.

1. Our CBs line up 8 yards off the WRs because our safeties freaking blow. If a WR gets past our CB, it usually is a big pass play. A really good ball hawk FS should help this alot.

2. Slants would be good, but apparently our OC doesnt know how to call them.

3. We bog down because of penalites and mental mistakes.

4. We are very talented compared to most teams, the problem is that whenver we play somebody with equal or better talent we lose. Thats why we are undefeated against teams with losing records and have only 1 victory this season against a team over .500.
