1. That game wasn’t close and the final score shouldn’t distract ownership from the fact that this team took a beating.

2. This loss isn’t all Dak’s fault, but it is partly Dak’s fault. Dak’s tendency is to run up the score on bad teams and get garbage stats when the game is out of reach. What is ABUNDANTLY CLEAR is that against good teams Dak ALWAYS gets off to a SLOW start and Dak doesn’t start settling down until the game is out of reach.

Dak is what he is. You either MOVE ON from Dak or you build a better team around him. The problem I see with the latter is Dak seems hell bent on being paid as a top 5 QB. Top 5 QBs don’t lay an egg every big game like Dak does.

3. The offensive line needs to be rebuilt. Martin is being paid TOP money. But the line isn’t performing like a top end line. Dallas MUST STOP paying premium money to players who are not drastically impacting the game favorably.

A. Move Martin for picks. Take your cap hit and move on. The young guards played as good or better the last game than this OL played tonight.

B. Biadasz. We need to improve significantly there. We can’t overpay to keep low end starter here.

C. Tyron has to go. He’s a has been and has been for several years.

D. Steele. Man he fell off a cliff after the injury.

E. The only guy who I think is safe on this entire OL is Tyler Smith.

4. The defense. Where do I start? There is plenty of talent to win on defense.

Quinn is a talented DC. But he’s also misused a lot of talent. How do you have THE BEST player in the league in Parsons and fail to shut anyone down.

5. Dallas must fortify BOTH trenches. That’s where the difference is made. You don’t build a team of skill position players and let them get pummeled. You build it from the inside out.

6. MM may not be the answer but he’s not the problem. I don’t care who the OC is—the trenches need to be better and Dak is a bit of a liability.

7. At receiver we seem to have CeeDee and a tight end (Ferguson). That Schoonmaker pick which I hated at the time looks even worse now. I don’t know why we forced that pick.

8. The running game MUST improve. The OL isn’t opening holes. We must replace the OL and rebuild it into a bully OL if we are going to keep Dak around. (Jerry will). We must also have a legit running game. We need to be scouting the RB ranks hard in this draft.

9. I understand why Jerry will keep Dak. But the Cowboys MUST throw competition at Dak. Serious competition. Dak must feel the breath of his competitors on his neck.

10. Honestly, I am torn on DQ. I think he does a decent job of assembling talent but not so good job of game planning. Dallas spent way too much time trying to get to the QB (and not getting there) and stayed in zone coverage far too long in this game.

I think DQ has the ability to game plan, but was distracted by the possibility that he would get a head coaching gig. I’m ready for DQ to move on.

11. Does the Hoodie come to Dallas? IDK if I am for that or not. I think I would try to pry Bienemy away from Washington as OC move on from DQ and elevate the DB coach as OC. (I forget his name-played at Green Bay).

12. Hot take? Jerry makes up with Jimmy Johnson and lets JJ have a season to see if he can recapture the magic and go to one more SB.

You 100% move on from Dak. That is #1. Then you hire a young coach and give him a clean canvas to do what he thinks is right going into the future. NO MORE RETREADS, no more Jerry thinking he knows crap. End of the line.

None of us are getting any younger.

Living in the past. It was awesome but times change. New world. Football is for the young men. Who is top? Watch the Ravens DC...
I know. I did not watch football back then, I was like 2-3 years old when Jimmy was our HC. But i mean its better than what we have.

First, it's time to cut the cord with Prescott. Other teams have moved on from their supposed "franchise QB" and have turned out ok.

Second, let Dan Quinn move on. I hope he gets the Seattle job.

Last, I would keep McCarthy for his last year on the contract. Win and continue, lose and your out.

The trenches can be fixed. Biadasz will not be resigned. Martin is still playing at a level where he isn't a liability. I believe one season removed from the ACL injury will have Steele playing like he was before the injury. Move Tyler out to LT. Sign Tryon to a team friendly deal to be the swing tackle. Draft a center then guard to complete the line.

On defense, get Mazi into the offseason program to make him stronger and able to keep his weight. Draft more space eaters on the interior. Play Sam Williams more at end and move Parsons to LB where he could lineup anywhere. Bring back LVE and hope Overshown can give you something coming back from injury. The LBer position is the where I would focus free agency on. Just need one good one. I would also draft one. The secondary will be fine with Diggs returning.

Those are a few steps I would take.

We both know that is not going to happen.

I doubt Jerry and his dumb son make anything but nominal changes but seriously doubt they fire Mike or leave Dak.

The best they would do if they fire Mike is go for Bill or an experienced coach and try to squeeze out something with Dak.

This game was 48-16 with ten minutes left. That was an absolute butt-whuppin', at home, by a 9-8 team.

Forget the late cosmetic surgery on the scoreboard, the Cowboys had their butts handed to them. Jerry's Cowboys, from the jocks to the socks.

This old fool doesn't have a clue when it comes to football. But when you own the team you can make as many dumb decisions as you like.

He will make some more decisions soon, and blind fans will celebrate them, as though they're going to change things.

It's time to make serious changes at all levels of this Cowboys organization. Unfortunately, that won't happen as long as ownership is so involved in Football operations. Accountability is impossible in the front office. Jerry won't fire himself or Stephen. These are the facts.

So I am afraid, my fellow Cowboys fans, that we are in store for more of the same of what we have been experiencing for nearly 30 years.

The rotation of coaches doesn't seem to work.

Zack is now a 7 time 1st Team All Pro, tying the record held by the top 3 Gs in NFL history.
He's got a few years left to top them all with another 1st Team All Pro.
Jerry is not trading away that potential legacy.
Hard to see them touching Tyron too. 2nd Team All Pro. We've kept him after much worse seasons.
And no way no how is he a backup T for any team next year.

Man… after that Jimmy speech… i wish he was our coach. Damn i was ready to go to war for him. Even Strahan was fired up lol.
It’s all theatre and they are good at it

We need wholesale changes but I doubt it happens
Contractually and financially they are tied to Dak so this get rid of Dak ain’t happening but we do need a coaching change

I could see an extension but it wouldn’t upset me if they do that and bring in some serious talent to compete

The real problem or biggest is on the other side of ball they are terrible is they don’t get turnovers

People on this forum think “ fear works “ in the 21st century . Joe Barry didn’t instill “ fear “ in the GB defense as Packer DC . He just out coached the new OC Dallas hired this yr. The Cowboy points at the end were garbage time NBA stuff .
