A couple of points about Terrell Owens.

First, I wanted to throw a shout out his way for saying all the right things after the game, especially when he said "NFC East Champions is what is important".

Second, how many people got mad when he dropped that huge pass during the final drive :) ?

Third, anyone else annoyed by Troy and Buck constantly harping on the fact that T.O. didnt have a big game. I was equally annoyed when they kept showing him on the sidelines and kept insinuating that it was only a matter of time before Mount T.O. blew up  .

The guy didn't have a huge day catching the football, but he was occupied by 2, sometimes 3 defenders and without a doubt, that is a huge impact on the game that doesn't show up on the stat sheet.

You've got to be thrilled with him. "Consummate professional" is actually a term you can apply to him this year. I was distraught when he dropped that pass, but those are the ones that he always drops. A little behind him, he never really looks it in, almost always a drop.

I was annoyed that they kept showing him, and harping on him, but that's the bed he's made for himself. Fortunately, this year that seems to drive him. He knows what people want and expect from him, and it seems to be entertaining him to not give it to them.

I agree about being pleased with TO reaction after the game, he put team before his own numbers.

On the drop pass I was just as upset with him as I would be any guy who just dropped a critical pass but as soon as they line up for the next play I expect players to put it behind them.

Lastly no upset with Troy and Buck talking about TO not putting up big numbers because they also explained and showed why he was not getting the ball coming his way. Det did a very good job covering TO with multipul DB's. I was a bit upset with the other WR for not having a bigger game considering the attention TO was drawing his way.

I was not annoyed that they said TO did not have a big game. That was true and as Dooms just said they explained why. I was annoyed when I heard that TO did not have an impact on the game. That is not true. It was because he was doubled and tripled covered that Witten was able to be open so often yesterday. The Lions focusing so much on TO opened up other areas for Dallas to attack including the flare outs to the backs for 12 catches, 74 yards and 1 TD.

TO knows the defense has to pick their poison. Either TO has a big day or Witten has a big day. Either way, we win!

It will really be nice when Glenn gets back so we will have another real weapon to go along with Owens & Witten.

I didn't consider that a dropped pass.

To me a "drop" is a pass that was routinely catchable.

The one with Owens in this game was a pass that was catchable, but it was a bad pass that was behind him that he had to try to catch with one hand as he was going away from the ball.

Like I said, the pass was catchable, .. sometimes he catches that pass, sometimes other WR's catch balls like that one but sometimes they don't because it was well behind him.

That pass is somewhat on Romo for throwing behind him and somewhat on Owens for not making the great one handed catch, ... but to me that is not one I consider a "drop."

Others see that as a drop I guess.

Which makes you wonder.... if we could get a real good RB or a real good speedster at WR... then we have the chance to have a little more of TO AND Witten being "directly" effective in the same game.

The running game and any other WR not names TO is holding us back a little.

I was kind of upset with Tony for not leading him there. If he had, TO might have broken one tackle and taken it to the house, like he's done so many times this year. But Tony redeemed himself by perfectly leading Witten in the end zone.

I thought the same thing.... but then I rubbed some dirt on it and looked forward to the next play :D

Agree it's pretty sad when people are filming/discussing his post game posture and expression. He was apparently doubled and tripled much of the day, but it was disappointing that we didn't work harder to feed our WR1, knowing how dangerous he is after the catch. As Aikman pointed out, the slant that he dropped was there all game and is very difficult to defend. Detroit was stout against the run and doubling TO all game- it makes you wonder why we couldn't take more chances downfield with Hurd or Austin. I think a healthy Terry Glenn has a field day against that defensive scheme.
