Great pick. Didnt reach and let the draft come to them. Allows them to get Free of the books next year. Great zone blocker. This team with three corner stone OL should be able to run at will and control the clock for a decade. Keeps the defense off the field and this guy is just about bust proof. Hats off to the FO.

The only thing I dont like bout this pick is that he doesnt play defense.

Leaving that aside, Im happy with the pick. Solid one.

The fact that they took so long presumably trying to trade back makes me feel good about the pick. They did their due diligence to trade and when it didn't work out they went with the best guy on the board. Nothing to complain about.

Solid Solid Pick and smart pick. These are the type picks we should have been making for years and the team would be much better than it is currently. The next pick needs to be solid too. We need a flux of talent on the lines in this Draft which can be accomplished. Even in the 7th Round just netting 2 sneak picks out of 7 would be solid haul.

Went in saying he was ONLY offensive player I would have taken at 16 (besides obvious top 5 o line) wanted Barr or Donald more but they weren't there. Tired of the complainers about no defensive line pick with nobody there

BPA and it was the right pick. I like what Mayock said about him after the Cowboys picked him "safest pick in the draft." Also said that he stoned everyone at the Sr. Bowl including Donald who only beat him once. That will be a good OL.

Yes, not a sexy pick but definitely a solid pick to provide Romo with interior stability and Murray with some nice holes to exploit!

Another opinion to add to the consensus:

Mayock was on mike and mike today morning and said the most sure shot player for long term success in the entire draft is Martin

I am good with the pick

He is the 9th player in Mayock's top 100.

Nawrocki is oh so reluctant to give players praise especially when it comes to strength and toughness. That coming from him is high praise.

I like the pick. I don't follow college football so I can't say I've even seen him play but I like the fact that the team actually understands the importance of OL play to an extent that they would draft another OL in the first round.

I think we should thank Travis Frederick for showing Jerry how much of an impact a rookie OL can have.

In addition to lots of D, I hope we use a mid round pick on another G/T. If this is Free's last year, we will need a RT or G (depending in where Martin plays).

Another rookie OL, coached up by our staff for a year, could save us from having to overpay for a FA or using a high pick on one in '15
