A good season ends very badly

Some thoughts on the game, our season and our future:

It was a pretty good season. We got the playoff monkey off our back and won the NFC east but we ended the season with a very bad loss. Now what? I was skeptical of this coaching staff the last two years just like most of you. After we turned it around, I though there was hope just like most of us did. All of a sudden everyone was embracing one another, the media had us in the SB and we loved Wade and JG. Well I think Wade is a very good DC but does not have full control with JG at OC. If he is going to be a great HC, we need to let JG go. If he turns up somewhere else as a genius so be it. I would like this team to get a new OC who can utilize this talent and give our offense a fresh new look. Someone who can bring excitement and put 30-40 points on the board. Someone who can make adjustments at the half and bring us back if were down.

Next we need to use the no cap season to make some additions and subtractions. I would like to see some young early round(s) O-Line talent brought in to grow with FJONES, Austin, Witten and ROMO. If we can cut ties with Flozell, now is the time. If we can cut times with MB, now is the time. FJ and TC will do. I would also like to see a hard hitting safety brought in and developed. We need to continue to address special teams because our kick coverages and return teams are average at best with Buehler being the bright spot. Obviously we need a kicker as well.

All in all we don't need that much but the cleansing we started last year must continue. It starts with JG, then Flozell, MBIII and possibly RW. I would not mind keeping RW one more year, to see if he improves. I am not against moving more o-lineman as well(if we can upgrade) with the exception of Leonard Davis and I like Doug Free.

With these moves I think we can contend for championships. Without them we will be what we are now "pretty good" but not good enough to win a SB.
