I would be thrilled for Drew if Jerry does put him in. Jerry would corrected a glaring omission and give Drew (who I think should have been in the HOF before Lynn Swann) his proper respect.
I don't believe Jones will do it because of my previously posted reasons, but I can hope Jerry does the right thing. We will just have to hope Jerry is willing to let go any animosity between him and Drew:starspin

You sir are the most "clueless" poster I have seen on this site. If you had taken the time to read my post, you would have not seen any "anti-Jerry" statement from me. I do not believe Jerry will put Drew in based on Jones' previous omission of Pearson. It has been stated on this board time and again that Jerry and Drew have bad blood between them. I defy you to show me one newspaper article or interview with Jerry where Jones says he will put Drew in the ROH. Media speculation is all you have and apparently, you have no original thoughts at all. And like you say, opinions are like butt holes, and you sir have the biggest

In 22 years Jerry has put 11 members in the ROH 8 of those players never played under Jerry. Every one has their favorites or who they feel should be the next but as Tex told Jerry make sure you keep the ROH exclusive as possiable. I would love to see Drew in the ROH but it seems people will bend over backwards to take shot at Jones

Since Jerry Jones purchased the Cowboys in 1989 and took over the decision-making on the Ring of Honor, he was advised by Tex Schramm to keep it as exclusive as possible. Jones has certainly done that, putting just 11 people in the Ring in 22 years.

The fact that Drew Pearson is not in the HOF or ROH yet is baffling. Compare his stats to those of Lynn Swann, who IS in the HOF...

Swann had 336 catches, 5,462 yards receiving and 51 TDs in his career. Pearson had 489 catches, 7,822 yards receiving and 48 TDs. Pearson averaged more catches and yards per game in his career than Swann. Had he played the same number of years as Art Monk (another HOF receiver) their numbers would have been almost identical, with Pearson having more TDs. The same goes for Charlie Joiner, except Pearson averaged moe TDs, yards AND catches per game than him. He had more catches and yards than Bob Hayes (yet another Hall of Famer) in the same number of years.
