A healthy LaVar Arrington could make our LB core scary

I'd prefer LaVar to Julius Peterson

I hope Jerry can get him to sign contract similar to Terrell Owens in which he's paid like an elite LB, but has roster bonuses at the beginning of each calendar season, just in case it doesn't work out.

If healthy Peterson abilities are similar to Ware's, but LaVar is more of a Roy Williams type player, his hitting or tackling ability is scary.

I'd prefer leaving our LB corp as-is and hitting it more in the draft. The one position (besides K) that I'd like a veteran presence at is FS, but I think Parcells likes the young guys there. Maybe Beriault's got somethin?

We don't need to overpay and get Arrington. I have never beena big fan of his. We should look at Peterson or retool in the draft. We need a Kicker first and foremost.

I wouldn't be opposed to it, but I don't think there's any interest on either the 'boys or his side.

Forget Arrington. The guy flat out said he doens;t want to play in Dallas, and that's just fine with me. It's interestign that he's about to sign on with Cincy, considering Marvin Lewis had problems with Lavar sticking to his assignments long before Williams ever came onto the scene.

Well let me tell you something, I would love to see Lavar Arrington in a Cowboys jersey, but sad to say Cowboys seems not to be interest.

I know Lavar Arrington did something worst than T.O. to make his chance worst for playing for the Cowboys organization.

Lavar said he would never play for the Cowboys a day in his life.... That killed his chances more than Terrell Owens dancing in the middle of the star 6 years ago...

you guys don't understand, you don't have the option of signing LaVar

he'd rather retire than play for Dallas

Yeah, he has said he does not want to play here. I don't understand the point of all these LaVar threads.....

I think most do understand that... Who wants to go to the team that put u on their knee so many times, u still have bruises from the spankings... :D

j/k

I think the discussion is more about his talent as a player. He's a decent player that COULD help the Cowboys if there was mutual interest. But there isn't... for the Cowboys, it's the Postons. For him, he bought into the skins-boys rivalry.

He also said that he would do anything to stay with the Commanders. And that he would heavily consider retirement after the season.

Now I'm pretty sure he has NO desire to retire.

And also the Commanders reportedly offered him a pretty lucrative contract which he turned down, then he offered the team 4 million to leave them because he was told he could hit a big pay day.

This guy is ALL about the money and I dont believe for a single second that if he was offered enough of it that he wouldn't be happy to play here. Believing anything else is pretty naive in my opinion.

That said, I would rather have Peterson.

I'll pass on LaVar - he's never lived up the hype. Give me Peterson or LB in the draft anyday.
