I went and looked at Keys career stats and some interesting things. Last year with the Cowboys he had his 3rd highest TDs for a season. He also had his 5th highest for yards.

He is off to a fast start with 2 TD catches already. He also has 65 yards. Now I know he aint gonna get 32 TD catches for the year but there is a good chance he will have a chance at 1000 yards.

The thing I am wondering is this. Has he ever had a good QB to get him the ball. It looks like with Bledsoe he is a QB that knows how to get him the ball and use him the Red Zone.

I do not think Key will have his best yards season ever but I think he has a real chance at having his best ever year for TD catches with Bledsoe at QB. One thing for sure. Key has some more good years in him left.

Last thing. If we should win 1 or 2 Super Bowls and Key is on those teams. He has some good years here. If he gets in the HOF does he go in as a Cowboy. He will get over 10000 yards before he is done. And his stats with Dallas could be very good.

What I am looking forward to is when Key and Bledsoe just know what each other is gonna do. I think this could be a very dangerous threat once they know each other better.

Vinny was pretty good when they played together for the Jets and Brad Johnson was good also.

Key is very underrated... he doesn't get nearly enough credit as he deserves.

His 2 TD's catches were very impressive... but the catch that was most impressive was the one he made at about the 5 yard line, fully extending his 6'4 body while keeping two feet in bounds to make the catch... not very many could duplicate that catch.

Vinny T was very good with the Jets for Keyshawn, and in the Bucs SB year Brad Johnson had the best QB Rating in the league I believe.

Anyway, I think the fact that Keyshawn never lived up to his big contract in TB, resulting in everyone and their mother calling him overrated left him underrated in the end. Everyone got so caught up in the "Keyshawn is overrated" charade that people started thinking he was useless. That, and the fact that fantasy football basically controls the way people rate skill position players. He doensn't put up huge numbers, so he's usually ranked like 35th or so among WRs in fantasy leagues.

he definitely still has some wiley veteran moves left. He can't be the workhorse but if you have other guys like we have, he's certainly still very very effective. I sure like having him.

Key has a role on this team and he knows exactly what it is. Is he a burner? No, that isn't his role.

He never has been a burner. I was never a fan of him but he has won me over with his play since coming to Dallas.

The best thing about Bledsoe is that he is very acurate and can put the ball in position for Jonson to produce. He is also a leader and gives players the confedince they need to produce tothe max...I think Key is gonna have 12 TDs cuz on the play were we took the lead over San Deagio,Bledsoe looked at Key and told him it is time to prove who he is,and Key said that he would have gotten that pass from Bledsoe even if there were 3 ppl on him...Bledsoe trusts him which will give him more condfednce and will make him a better player...

Brad Johnson was a good QB but the Bucs would settle for FG and win 9-7 instead of go for a TD with Key.

From the looks of the SD game I think Key is going to be used in a manner more inline with his strengths this year, working the middle of the field and shorter to intermediate sideline routes where he can use his body position to shield off the corner, a real forte of his.
Last year they insisted on Key being the guy to stretch the defense and I had to watch in agony as time after time this plan went to crap, Key just isnt a speed guy and BP should have told him so. Glad to see our options are probably tenfold better this year with an emerging player in Crayton and ofcourse Price waiting in the wings. (on that note, who'd have thought a year ago that this team would be in a position where it has so many good offensive players that they all can't get on the field?!)

FINALLY, a thread with some love for my man Key. So few people see only his 'rep' & fail to give the man his due. Keyshaun will be BIG for us this season. GUARANTEED.

Yes.. very Chris Carter-ish.

Key is who we should've acquired instead of Galloway when Irvin went down.

I like Key for his reliable hands and dedication to blocking. I tolerate his propensity for stupid personal foul penalties in exchange for the leadership and swagger he brings to the offense. I think his week one stats were the direct result of a San Diego gameplan that focused on stopping Witten and containing JJ. But I'd love for him to prove me wrong this season!

Hey, we just gotta hold on to him.. he's got the gun, he's keeping Julius healthy and on the feild out of fear. Lol. (In referance to a quote he made last year after JJ returned and was lighting it up)

On a serious note though- Just as I believe Bledsoe's best is yet to come here in Dallas, I believe Keyshawns is also set to come in Dallas now with Bledsoe tossing him the pigskin.

Keyshawn Johnson meet Drew Bledsoe- the guy who makes perenial average WR's look like All-Pros. Ie. Terry Glenn, Peerless Price....and the soon-to-be added to this list, Patrick Crayton- one at everyteam. Now just imagine what he can do with a REAL, Insanely talented and knowledgable, wideout, like, Keyshawn! Sure he had Moulds alongside Price, but come on now.. no Key.

So many seem to think since he's returned with Terry and Peerless that they'll automatically be his top targets. Heck, even some think it's going to be Witten due to his similarity to Coates.

Ah who cares about explanation.. This is the year of Keyshawn over the middle and in the trenches. Crayton the unexpected. And the year of Julius realizing his recieving creds ala LT. Terry, Jason and Peerless are decoys because everybody thinks the other way and Bledsoe isn't going to play that game in his more-than-likely final stop in the NFL- predictability is not a luxary Drew gets if he wants this to truly work and he knows this. They'll try to stop Keyshawn and Witten- Key it doesn't matter with (2-3 people on him, with Bledsoe throwing him the ball it doesn't matter) and with Witten covered will just open up Crayton, or JJ out of the backfield.
