Good afternoon folks,
I'm sorry I post here an awful lot. My Buccanneers Board has not been integrated with the new website so I have to spread my knowledge somehow. I do realize this is a Cowboys fan site as it does say so at the top of the page, but I know I am more than welcome to join in on any conversation that may cater to something I might have a leg up over the normal fan.
After licking my perverbial wounds, I took in the Dallas/Minnesota game because, like many people, I enjoy watching a legend like Brett Favre grace the gridiron. I do have many friends here as well that are fans of the Cowboys so you could say I did have an itnerest in watching the contest.
I hope you don't mind, but I did take some notes during the affair that I hope would shed some light on what might be going wrong over there in Big Dallas. I'm sure a majority of these points went over the heads of the casual fan.
I'll start the list after this sentence.
1. Wade Needs to Lose Weight - I've done research. The last time a heavy set coach won a championship was John Madden back in the 1970's or 1980's. it's apparent that Wade spends too much time in the lounge eating rather than watching game film with the team. The focus is not there. Look at the facts: Dennis Green "Light to Eat More", Andrew Reid"-ing the whole menu", Wade"-ing through Golden Corral's Buffet Line" Phillips, the guy who coached the Patriots back in the early 90's, Romeo "And Juliet and the father and the mother and the butler and the newspaper kid and the plumber" Crennel. I hope I did not offend with this point.
2. Cut Down the Penalties - Before the graphic came on the television and the analysts talked about it, I noticed the Cowboys had many penalties. A good way to decrease the flags is to try and make a legal play, try to not interfere with passes, try to not organize a touchdown celebration, or try not to get caught. Wait until the refs are not looking then try to jump over the guy. It's simple. Practice how you plan to play the game. I have a hard time believing Wade coaches the team to make penalties.
3. Keep Scoring Points - This NFL League has been around an awfully long time. During that time, the structure of the game has gone through many changes, however to this day, no team has lossed a game when they have scored more points than their opponents. Consult any sports wikipedia, the truth is there. What the Cowboys need to do is regroup and refocus on the need at hand. All you need is one more point than the other guy. it's that simple.
I have more talking points, yet I know this is a lot to digest and regurgetate to each other.
Let's not pull sheep's over each other, the Cowboys are a very good football team. They have the nucleus to be able to compete with the Vikings, Bucs, Patriots, etc. but they must take a look at themselves in the mirror and ask, "Who is that looking back at me?".
It's a long season folks. I just hope your team wears the same makeup that Raheem, Mark, and the rest of the Pewter Pirates wear to be successful.
Thoughts?
