A little bit of perspective please

I feel strongly that we should always attempt to show respect to other members here, whether or not we happen to agree with what they say. Granted, as difficult as it may be, we should avoid being contemptuous to others with opinions differing from our own. Otherwise, coming here could never be the experience that we'd most like it to. Patience really isn't easy to have, hereabouts.

Needless to say, it's tough to do so, when a fan of a team that is as lax in its managerial duties as this one has been for decades. Human beings will always be just that. As such, we must understand that as long as that's the case, tempers must be adjusted, accordingly. We're all mortal creatures, after all.

I'm saying this as one who might practice what I say more often. Bear with me folks, I'm only human, and so are all of us! Let's be kind to one another, ok . . . even to Jerry & Son, if you can! ;)

Well technically, wetness is a property that occurs when a liquid (like water) interacts with a solid surface, rather than being an inherent quality of the liquid itselforry but that is wrong.
Sorry but thats wrong.

It is because the molecular structure of a fluid is only losely coupled. So the molecules are able to arrange themselves around a surface as a very thin layer. Thats what people experience as wetness.

Every fluid is like that. Which means every fluid would feel wet on your body

Wetness is only a feeling. But the reason for it is the molecular structure of a fluid which IS a inherent quality of a liquid.

I absolutely love this message board. I have been a member here for years and I love speaking to my fellow fans about everything Cowboys, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Having said that, the polarity of this place is becoming extremely toxic and unreasonably contentious. It seems like that so many here don’t like people who don’t view things the same way that they do.

Some view EVERY move the Cowboys make as wrong. Some have a sunshine view of every move. I can see why those extreme factions have trouble with each other, but the truth lies somewhere in between.

I guess my thought process on this post is how about just being a little bit more civil with each other? I am quite sure that most everyone here (including those who always look for the bright side) are frustrated.

I know that I am frustrated with the Cowboys and last year I became as frustrated as I have ever been with the Cowboys. But that doesn’t mean that I am going to go out of my way to complain about every move that they make.

Some of the minor moves that they make will be positive. Maybe we will have an epic draft. Maybe we won’t. But I’m not going to assume the worst before it even happens.

It’s ok to be realistic. It’s ok to be negative. I think some of that is definitely appropriate, but let’s at least be civil in conversation with each other. There is really no need to just attack everything someone says because you don’t like them or agree with how they view the team.

A majority of the people here have opinions about the team that CHANGE from day to day or week to week. Views should change a little as the team evolves.

I don’t think that Dak is the guy to lead us anywhere and I don’t understand why the Cowboys paid him what they did. I don’t think he will get better and I think he is like an anvil around the team’s neck. But I am not going to purposefully be hateful to someone that believes differently than me on Dak.

In short please try to be civil with one another. I know it’s hard right now with so much going wrong for so long, but at least try.
That's what you say!

Sounds similar to how Humans cant actually detect wetness. Humans don't have specialized receptors in their skin to detect "wetness" directly; instead, the brain interprets the feeling of wetness based on a combination of temperature and pressure sensations, not a specific "wetness" sense

Seriously, I think a lot of the angst is just messing around, but It does get outta hand from time to time. Salud!

There are forum policies that deal with this issue. If you feel you are being treated rudely by a fellow poster then I encourage you to report them.

I am speaking of personal attacks. If you find a football-related opinion to be offensive, then that is on you.

Ah, go tell it to the Marines. smh

Voice your opinion. Yeah.

That's the reason i stay away from a-social media.

A-social media is the new crackerbarrel. Just that now all crackerbarrels have the possibility to communicate together.

With those platforms being public we all are able to get a sense of how many of such people are out there. Where we all thought there are only 5 of them in maybe 1 of 10 villages now we get the feeling the bulk of society are savages.

Anonymity supports the process even more. People wouldnt behave like that publicly. At least this is what i want to believe in.
(But when i have to watch how the new elected president of the US behaves in public i am seriously concerned that a big part of society will take this as an "ok" and start to be like this too.)

Still i refuse to accept that the bulk of people are a-social on a level they show themselves on those platforms.
Usually you have 10% of society that are bad no matter what, 10% that are always good and the bulk in between.

I think it was always like this: You have to chose with what kind of people you want to spent your time with. And finding those is not easy. A common interest is not the only thing that is needed. Its also about social behavior, culture, education and intellect.
Enjoy the Greatness!! Ty….

Why would they change, when it has resulted in financial success.
Yeah but you would think they would want to win and enjoy financial success, waiting too long to sign players is this organizations biggest failure .They never learn from their mistakes .I am a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan but this team needs new management .

Their unwillingness to change is a by-product of their shortsighted selfishness. Increased popularity would boost the franchise's popularity, not lower it. Regaining consistent championship competing teams would rake in even more revenue.

It is a management strategy Jerry Jones has never attempted. It is why he is his own worst enemy.

I honestly think he means well and is trying to fix it. He is just incompetent and too selfish to hire a real GM. That would only prove Jimmy Johnson was correct.

I would guess the real issue has nothing to do with Dallas. People use them as an excuse and this forum as a vehicle to express frustration with some other aspect of their life. It doesn't seem possible that people could have this much hate for all things Cowboys and still call themselves fans. There is also no way someone cant see that management and players are responsible for the lack of success. I think people should take a breath before posting on here. Or just seek help elsewhere.

I'm not happy with Jerald
He's about to make another epic mistake and over pay Parsons.
As far as the board goes, I limit myself at 2 responses to a given poster. Long drawn out pissing matches produce no winners.
