A little bit of perspective please

I'm not happy with Jerald
He's about to make another epic mistake and over pay Parsons.
As far as the board goes, I limit myself at 2 responses to a given poster. Long drawn out pissing matches produce no winners.
Sound strategy.

Another one is to simply leave the thread and don't go back. I do that often. No reason to bicker w/ someone whose only goal is to incite anger.

I would guess the real issue has nothing to do with Dallas. People use them as an excuse and this forum as a vehicle to express frustration with some other aspect of their life. It doesn't seem possible that people could have this much hate for all things Cowboys and still call themselves fans. There is also no way someone cant see that management and players are responsible for the lack of success. I think people should take a breath before posting on here. Or just seek help elsewhere.
Bolded: You are referring to a very small number of posters.

Most are here to discuss and conversate. The small crowd that incessantly bickers is the problem. They fill every thread w/ hatred and reiterations of the same tired mess. They do it so much that it makes you think it's the entire board, but it is not. Not even close.

i hate to tell you this, but the reality is, this is what our society has become on social media, and even though this is more of a forum than social media it is the same premise.
I completely agree…and it goes beyond just communicating on social media. The explosion of social media has led to a regression in our ability to communicate outside of social media…it’s a cancer. And IMO, it is having an even more dramatic impact on our younger generations where social media has had an oversized influence on their skills development.

As far as this board, it is incredibly toxic. However, I believe much of that has to do with the history of posters. There are a lot of folks here that have been around forever. Some have a beef with other posters, some have their heels dug in, some might actually consider another opinion if not for their one sided histories, and some just want to stir the pot. And the like button is the drug that adds more fuel and confirmation bias.

An interesting experiment would be to erase everyone’s history and require everyone to change their names and see if the tone changes. My bet is that you would see a significant change in the overall tone of posts, at least initially.

Sounds similar to how Humans cant actually detect wetness. Humans don't have specialized receptors in their skin to detect "wetness" directly; instead, the brain interprets the feeling of wetness based on a combination of temperature and pressure sensations, not a specific "wetness" sense
Can we talk about the initiation and propagation of action potentials in a sensory nerve ending?

I wonder about this........if what we in some poster's behaviors reflects frustration within their personal lives. Some of the constant hate/negativity over petty issues is strange. I don't believe more times than not, posting tone, language, and the behavior we see is who we are in real-time.

Yeah but you would think they would want to win and enjoy financial success, waiting too long to sign players is this organizations biggest failure .They never learn from their mistakes .I am a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan but this team needs new management .
That’s the biggest mystery to me. You would think that winning would create even more financial success?! We know it’s all about money , so winning a SB would presumably make a tremendous amount more …. It’s not like they don’t know what it’s like when the Boys win a SB. It’s bigger than anything or other team winning. I know I’m biased , but I’ve witnessed 3 in 4 Years, there is no comparison

I feel strongly that we should always attempt to show respect to other members here, whether or not we happen to agree with what they say. Granted, as difficult as it may be, we should avoid being contemptuous to others with opinions differing from our own. Otherwise, coming here could never be the experience that we'd most like it to. Patience really isn't easy to have, hereabouts.

Needless to say, it's tough to do so, when a fan of a team that is as lax in its managerial duties as this one has been for decades. Human beings will always be just that. As such, we must understand that as long as that's the case, tempers must be adjusted, accordingly. We're all mortal creatures, after all.

I'm saying this as one who might practice what I say more often. Bear with me folks, I'm only human, and so are all of us! Let's be kind to one another, ok . . . even to Jerry & Son, if you can! ;)
At least Jerry's not a folk hero at making moonshine. Football is still a sport and it's play creates game changes and they are fully human as well as hidden in there and now opportunities or hidden elements.

Well said....screw that! Haters suck worse than Garrett!! Lol....
Seriously, I think a lot of the angst is just messing around, but It does get outta hand from time to time. Salud!
Still can't fake a 500 lb bench or a 4.3 forty time all set up with team coordinated disciplined reactions. Each and every play to tie together game changers.

Strength and speed doesn't always translate to the football field for some.

That is always coordinated with my included team coordinated disciplined reactions. Team play as designed wins out on the carpet. :hammer: Sorry, I don't imput losing at any point. Being a sport does that naturally. Team removes careless drama.

It's not about money. It's about assuaging Jethro's ego.

His knowledge of the defensive scheme and willingness to help the younger talent learn is something that can allow Sanborn to become another leader on the defensive side of the ball.

""I'm pretty much an open book, easy to talk to, very approachable, I'm willing to do anything to help everyone else learn," Sanborn said, via DallasCowboys.com.

"Relatively, we kind of have a decently young room, and so just doing whatever I can with the most knowledge of the defense right now just doing whatever I can to help guys get up to speed and just help each other out because at the end of the day, we're all in this together as one."

The last part of the quote, "we're all in this together as one" is the best part of the quote. It shows a willingness to bring the team together. And after the public spat between Micah Parsons and DeMarcus and reports that tension was brewing in the locker room for a while, that's exactly what is needed in Dallas.

Team are the players there. And lead by the coaches here and now. NOT Jerry. A team fully supported and scouts fully support instructions by the staff.

He desperately wants to win it again. He just doesn't know how, and refuses to let someone else do it for him

I absolutely love this message board. I have been a member here for years and I love speaking to my fellow fans about everything Cowboys, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Having said that, the polarity of this place is becoming extremely toxic and unreasonably contentious. It seems like that so many here don’t like people who don’t view things the same way that they do.

Some view EVERY move the Cowboys make as wrong. Some have a sunshine view of every move. I can see why those extreme factions have trouble with each other, but the truth lies somewhere in between.

I guess my thought process on this post is how about just being a little bit more civil with each other? I am quite sure that most everyone here (including those who always look for the bright side) are frustrated.

I know that I am frustrated with the Cowboys and last year I became as frustrated as I have ever been with the Cowboys. But that doesn’t mean that I am going to go out of my way to complain about every move that they make.

Some of the minor moves that they make will be positive. Maybe we will have an epic draft. Maybe we won’t. But I’m not going to assume the worst before it even happens.

It’s ok to be realistic. It’s ok to be negative. I think some of that is definitely appropriate, but let’s at least be civil in conversation with each other. There is really no need to just attack everything someone says because you don’t like them or agree with how they view the team.

A majority of the people here have opinions about the team that CHANGE from day to day or week to week. Views should change a little as the team evolves.

I don’t think that Dak is the guy to lead us anywhere and I don’t understand why the Cowboys paid him what they did. I don’t think he will get better and I think he is like an anvil around the team’s neck. But I am not going to purposefully be hateful to someone that believes differently than me on Dak.

In short please try to be civil with one another. I know it’s hard right now with so much going wrong for so long, but at least try.
Does out-of-bounds mean anything anymore?

Those that always complain and whine are truly foolish and most likely don't have anything else going on in their lives
