A little discussed problem

This coaching staff is wasting an amazingly talented OL .

Sad.. The Garrett Era is so sad .

I have said this a couple of times. Garrett has all time talent in their primes. QB, PassRusher, WR, TE, OL and 2 really good to great RBs. It is depressing when you think about it.

I'd move Conner Williams to right tackle and L'al Collins to left guard during the off week but knowing this coaching staff, I doubt that happens

Tyron Smith and La'El Collins pooped the bed today. Connor Williams was also bad.

It starts at the top

When players know the HC is trash and only here because of nepotism, there is no accountability

Typically over reaction. Hire Richard as our next HC while you’re at it.

I said it when we hired him and I'll say it again now, he was with the Cincinnati Bengals for 23 years. Before you want to reward a guy for that type of longevity, ask yourself what have the Bengals won in 23 years? This past off-season when the Bengals were considering whether or not to let Marvin Lewis go, Lewis told the owner it's either him or Alexander. Marvin Lewis, with his .529 career winning percentage and zero playoff wins, was so important to the Bengals that they got rid of the coach that preceded him in Cincinnati by 7 years. Marvin, Fricken, Lewis said that Alexander had to go.

And we ran right out and hired him.

You get what you pay for.
Does Garrett have a coaching tree to choose from? Does he have the relationships around the league that most coaches gain while coming up the coaching ranks? Of course not. He was hand chosen for this job 2 years after starting his coaching career.

On that holding penalty. Joe Looney double teamed Zach Martins man....

Yes the center provided help to all pro, best guard in the game Zach Martin. Rather than help undersized rookie, Connor Williams.

Coaching matters.
We had similar head scratching blocking assignments in the Texans game too. People refuse to think that this OL is under performing.

Garrett's "coaching tree" is a stump.

No, not at all. However, in Jerry's quest to prove to the world that he is right about Garrett, he could use some of that #1 franchise in sports money to surround Garrett with some of the best assistant coaches around. Instead, they brought in a never-was O Line coach, a JAG WR coach who has bounced around 5 or 6 losing organizations, and a QB coach with zero experience.
