A Little History on Division Crowns

1960 began the golden era of Professional football as 9 teams joined the ranks of pro football. 8 of them were in the AFL. During this time we have had Division Championships decide playoff matchups and recognized these teams. Expansion has added teams since that year until we get to our 32 teams today. Here is a rundown from 1st place through 32nd of each teams number of Division Championships. There were no divisions in the strike shortened 1982 season.

No, all of the 2009 Division champiosn are included in those counts. Only the NFC East is undecided.
