Rising Cowboys star shares why Super Bowl drought could end in 2025

Holy krap I hate this time of year.

The sign of a declining nation is the erosion of The Family.

The sign of a declining NFL team is when the fans get delusional in June when the shorts are on and the pads are off.

Go read the Raiders message boards. They're saying the same things. The Raiders and Cowboys...2 organizations stuck in the past, decides of failure, decades of refusing to admit they suck...with a rotten foundation

The Dallas Cowboys are riding high thanks to the infectious energy of Brian Schottenheimer, and one of the team's rising stars thinks a Super Bowl is not out of reach.

The Dallas Cowboys made a major improvement to the wide receiving corps following the NFL Draft by acquiring star wide receiver George Pickens. Unfortunately for last year's WR2 in Dallas, Jalen Tolbert, that means a decrease in production could be on the way.

Despite the knowledge that he could see less involvement in the offense, Tolbert believes the best for the Cowboys is coming during the Brian Schottenheimer era.

Tolbert believes the locker room culture and energy could get the team over the hump.

You should be ashamed to post such nonsense.

Your cynicism is leaking bro. I mean I’m surprised you’re not Chief/Eagle fan to go along with the other “past champion” teams in your name.

If Tolbert gives us those numbers again as a #3, I suspect the offense is going to be in pretty good shape.
Should be, considering at times he was the de facto No. 1 with Lamb missing games. Those numbers are solid for a No. 3 unless your team is passing at a high rate. I'm not sure he'll put up similar numbers, though, because of our desire to run and because we'll also want to use Turpin and Mingo.

Yeah, I will be interested to see what his season looks like. Pickens and Lamb will probably end up gobbling up all of the targets and Tolbert might end up being shelved for the most part.

In the modern NFL you really need a third receiver that can give you a handful of good games in a season, so Dallas needs someone to step up.

You should be ashamed for posting such a non-intelligent post. Maybe next time try a little harder to make your case.
What case is there to be made? Did your eyes and ears stop working over the last 30 years? Stick to your pom poms and always discreet pads.

Exactly. Best post of the year thus far.

Champion teams are made in the off season and player acquisition.

he was tied for 21st lol
Yeah 21st even if you're correct which I'm not going to look it up right now..

how many NFL players are there that are in position to score touchdowns? how many? 300? maybe more ?

so, 21 wouldn't be bad for a guy that people seem to be under raiding a lot that don't want him around thinks he should be cut or traded I mean that's what we're discussing here.....

If you're laughing at him being 21 with 7, why did why does lamb only have six? I'm going to have to say that's pretty sad for CD lamb to have less than the man you're ridiculing that's the point we're making here nobody's trying to puff this guy up but stop underrating what he can do..
his numbers were better than most of the free agents or trades that were made during the beginning of this off season up until now..
a lot of names that people wanted here his numbers were as good or better than Keenan Allen , Cooper, Deebo Samuels, and for sure Michael Gallup and who else went was it oh that's right even Brandon Cooks, who was here somehow poor underrated undersold Tolbert had better numbers than him ,and that's why he's gone but yet he's making more money.. all these players are making 3-4X Tolbert's, yet he's younger...
we're talking about a dude on a rookie contract and yes his numbers were even similar to Cooper Kupp and I realized some of these guys were injured but that's the point isn't it I mean it is all there in black and white your stats are what they are so when you look at guys like Samuels on the way down since getting paid 3 years ago, a lot of these guys got moved around a lot of you wanted these names but Tolbert was on par or better with all of them..

so, I'd say at WR3 He's pretty valuable, it's a perfect spot for him whether his numbers go up down stays the same, he's still a solid contributor on this team and shouldn't be undersold, he's actually still getting better it's a slow process that he's been developing slow, but he has been getting better.... I don't believe this is a finished product... He's had a very similar start that the guy like Miles Austin had here took a while for him to catch on turned into a really good player here outside of the hamstring injuries I think Tolbert can be that if he keeps working at it...

I'm talking about the fans. OUR fans are letting "SuperBowl" come out of their mouths, based on videos they're watching of OTAs in shorts and t-shirts.

Same as last year. And the year before. It's little-kid krap. At SOME point, most adult fans go "wait...I've seen this before. June video clips mean nothing. June player talk, coach talk, ANY talk, means nothing"

Our fans don't though. Yearly amnesia. And the scary thing is, I think our players and GM do the exact same thing. Is that a star on their helmet, or just a picture of their common sense leaking out of their head?

Talk SuperBowl when the team is getting better and better into Nov and Dec, playing better than they did in Sept. Talk SB when they are peaking in the playoffs, and not embarrassing themselves once again. We DECLINE as we go thru Nov into Dec. We drop like a stone in Jan.

It's June. Shorts and t-shirts. But sure...it appears we're superbowl bound. Just like last June.

Sigh.

I wish I was. It would be a lot easier than being a Cowboy fan.

I'm not bandwagon though. No jumping around here.

We typically get banged up an injured every Nov/Dec playing 3 games in 11 days.

Hey, but Jerry gets his TV ratings.
