A little reading material for those freaking out about our Preseason Record

its not the record, its the penalties and overall sloppines. We dont want to see them try and just turn it on.

I agree, I don't care about the record, I'm concerned with how that record was achieved.

Even if Dallas had won both of those games, it still wouldn't have changed the fact that they played some pretty crappy football and need to get things worked out.

Preseason games are not meaningless. What they in fact mean is another question.

I agree they are not meaningless only the score is meaningless which is why everyone’s record will go to 0 and 0 in about 3 weeks. Pre-season is to get vets in game condition, for coordinators to work on new things and of course to look at rookies and younger players who are working to make the 53 man roster.

It's no use. You can't talk some of these guys down from the ledge. They're determined to be worried about everything. A sloppy preseason game is only that, a sloppy preseason game. If you think they will come out in regular season playing like they did, then you are mistaken. Coaches also just kept it simple to the point of not adjusting for players such as Jenkins after he got beat. They wanted to see how the players handled some adversity, at least in that case. Preseason is for doing things you might not normally do as a coach and as a player.
