No matter what happens in the regular season next year we are still not going to know anything about our team. I think we are for sure the favorite to win the division maybe even the conference title, but the sad fact remains the ultimate success of the season resides in the playoffs. Given the respective records of Wade and this teams failure to produce those late season wins we just don't know and it will be a long wait. How will we feel if we start the season off with multiple wins maybe 7-1 at the mid point 10-2 at the quarter pole and 13-3 at the finish? How will you feel? I know I will still be haunted by the ghosts of season past. It is going to take a playoff victory to exercise those demons. But hope springs eternal and I for one think that we can knock that gorilla off our backs and give it a severe beating and rightfully reclaim the mantle of success and add that 6th Lombardi to the trophy case!!

When the season comes I'll sit back and enjoy the season and worry about the playoffs when they get here. If Dallas were to finish 13-3 next season I would be thrilled with another oppertunity of HFA. Of course you want to win the whole thing but I think it is important to continue to put yourself in a position to take advantage of it. We didn't this season but yes I would love to be put in the same situation next year.

Good post. The biggest thing I will be watching for next season is a strong finish in December assuming we make it to the playoffs. It is going to be hard to completely shake out the bad feelings of this year and I hope the team does not forget these feelings either. I hope that this bad experience drives them to work hard throughout the entire offseason & season and reminds them to take nothing for granted. Personally its going to be hard to not doubt some of the future success and wonder if they will actually be able to win in the playoffs. It is a long wait......

Nothing matters but the playoffs anymore.

We've seen (essentially) the top of the regular season mountain. And it's pretty good. But next year, the attitude that it doesn't matter one bit is going to be very strong.

We are no shoe-in for the playoffs next year.

You can bet Philly will have better WRs and a healthy McNabb.

The Giants will have retooled and have a great D-line and a Playoff-seasoned QB (gawd, I never thought I'd say that!) with talented WRs and TE.

The Skins will be under a new HC, but if they promote from within, they could put together a good season as well.

If we get to 10-6 next year, it will be an accomplishment with the schedule we have.

If the giants get DB and LB help in the offseason, they will probably be the team to beat in NFC East next season.:bang2: Man it sucks living up here in New Yuck......:giants:
