Wide Receivers
Donald Driver – 63 catches, 832 yards, 13.2 ypc, 2 TD
#1 Receiver. Doesn’t fit the profile a NFL #1 receiver. 6’0” and 185 lbs – has an uncanny ability the make the first guy miss – leads all NFL receivers in yards after the catch (yac). Has seen less balls this year with the emergence of Jennings and the addition of Jones, however, maximizes each opportunity he has when he catches the ball. Against Detroit broke nine tackles, including three by Ernie Sims. Many wideouts wouldn't even get near the ferocious linebacker, let alone take him on.
Greg Jennings – 39 catches 625 yards, 16.0 ypc, 9 TD
#2 Receiver – Would be #1 starter for half the teams in the league. An emerging star who is equally skilled in running picture perfect slant routes as well blowing by DBs for 40+ yd deep passes. Is rivaled only by Donald Driver in his ability to gain yards after the catch. Leads the teams in drops on a team that has the least drops in the NFL.
James Jones – 40 catches, 594 yards, 14.9 ypc, 2 TD
#3 Receiver – 2nd leading rookie receiver in the NFL – beat Champ Bailey for a 80 yd TD three weeks ago. A dynamic athlete who reminds many in the organization of a young Sterling Sharpe – also draws comparisons to Arizona’s Antuan Bolden. Has a chance to break 1000 yards despite being a rookie and being the #4 option behind Driver, Jennings, and Donald Lee.
Koren Robinson – 10 catches, 113 yards, 11.3 ypc, 0 TD
#4 Receiver. Former Seahawk high first round draft pick and former 1000+ yd receiver – 4 weeks removed from being re-instated into the NFL after spending time in jail during the offseason. His addition has dramatically strengthened the WR core – most teams don’t have a #4 DB who can match up with his strength, speed, and athleticism.
Ruvell Martin – 12 catches, 173 yards, 14.4 ypc, 3 TD
#5 receiver. 6’5” 210 lbs. Has caught 3 TDs the past two weeks. Uses his height to win battles against opposing corners in end zone jump balls and fades.
Tight Ends
Donald Lee – 39 catches, 468 yards, 12.0 ypc, 4 TD
#1 TE. Has overtaken Bubba Franks as Favre’s favorite TE. Has emerged is his first year as a starter as a solid blocker and a dynamic downfield receiver. Has eye popping stats considering he isn’t even on the field when the Packers go with their 5 WRs.
