Now that TC is basically over, will take a look at our schedule.
The first 6 games with and without Zeke, Irving, Moore. Not that Moore or Irving could impact the D all that much individually that we know of. But as in a rotation they might.
Just looking at the 1st 6 games, we could end up being just about the same with or without Zeke, maybe one game difference. If the other RB's step up, and Dak is put in situations to succeed without Zeke's pass protection.
Giants, this will be a tough game no matter what. It's our O against there D, can we get those critical 1st downs and get TD's, not FG's. Now our D will be suspect against their WR's, TE's. But they have issues, on the OL and they have ELI, who seems to be getting worse each year. Even though their OL is not all that great, but they seem to play better against us. Probably our lack of pass rush makes it seem that way.
Key, be better than we think they will, get to Eli before he gets the ball out. Right now I have no feel how this game goes. I just know we have a better chance to win with Zeke and ball control.
Denver, this game does not scare me. They too have their offense issues, especially at QB based on last year. I actually think we can move the ball on them even without Zeke.
Arizona, same here, I think they are over rated, and get to Palmer, hit him, get him out of his game, and he starts making mistakes. We will have Moore on D back for this game.
Rams, we should be able to handle this game and get a win.
GB, and we get Irving back. Being at home helps here, or should. We can move the ball. on them, but stopping Rogers will be the big problem. Has our D and secondary gelled and settled down a bit by this game to slow him down.
SF, this game too, we should have no problem with.
so after the first 6 games and a bye week, Zeke will be back, if he is suspended. Hitchens could be back as well. I don't think anyone expects us to be 6-0 if Zeke is playing, but we could be 5-1 or 4-2 would even be good. Without Zeke, could we be 4-2, yes. I think if 3-3 without Zeke may be even good. I do not think we will be 2-4 or worse. But I really feel 4-2 will be it.
