This draft me and ABQ sr. teamed up and had the Rams. Here was our picks.
1 (2) - Clowney
Hard to say how he will turn out as he ended up on IR with microfracture surgery. Taken #1 overall. The Rams ended up selecting Greg Robinson. Too early to realoy tell but I'll call this one a wash for now.
1 (13) - Marqise Lee
He is still one of my favorite WR's from this draft. He ended up going early second 39 overall. We were strongly considering Aaron Donald and probably should have gone in that direction. Also could have had OBJ. Lee ended his rookie season 37-426-1.
2 (44) - Dominique Easley
Outside of Clowney he was my favorite DLine prospect except for the injury concerns. Easley was taken with the 29th overall selection. He was not much of a factor this last season, but that was expected due to injury. He ended his season on IR.
3 (75) - Telvin Smith
He didnt go jntil the fifth round pick 144. However, we may have been right on with this kid. He finished his superb rookie season with 104 tackles 2 sacks and 1 INT. We feel pretty good about this pick.
4 (106) - Ju'wan James
This was a big surprise on draft day, but not to us. We liked him alot throughout the whole draft process and were happy to land him this late. He was taken 19th overall and started all year at OT. He was asked to make the switch from right to left tackle when Albert went down. He has been the staple of the dolphins Oline. We love this pick.
Its very hard to grade a draft this young, but we love how our 3rd and 4th round guys have already contributed. We feel very optimistic that this could be an A+ draft.
