A loophole around the 30 Percent Rule

Wow this is huge news when it comes to signing Ware. Can you imagne having Ware re-negotiate his contract right now and only having him count about 4 million against the cap this year? That would allow us to sign some decent free agents like a CB and O-lineman.

I wonder if Jerry did this that he would be not favored by the other 31 teams, especially in trade dealings with draft picks or during trades in the draft. He might at least wait for the right time to do it.

I don't think so. Especially since he's be using to sign one of his own guys. Not abusing it to perhaps secure a much coveted FA over competing teams offering contracts that complied with the 30% rule.
