Once we get Quinn and eventually Gregory, this DL will be awesome. We're lining up a bunch of DT's and Tank on all downs.
People like to complain about everything!! I only complain about Garrett.A lot of shade being thrown around about my man D-Law around here (see below). So for those who only like looking at the stats:
Through two games:
D-Law
0.5 sacks | 3 QB hits | 1 FF | 0 TFL
Aaron Donald
0 sacks | 2 QB hits | 0 FF | 1 TFL
K Mack
1 sacks | 1 QB hit | 1 FF | 2 TFL
Von Miller
0 sacks | 0 QB hit | 0 FF | 0 TFL
Give my man some time

What the hell is shade and why does it matter
Really?Or your expectations for "living up to a contract" are ill conceived.
Yeh they said at least 4 as high as 6.
Really?
He's making $21M a year. What should my expectations be? Same as an UDFA? A mid round pick? A street FA?
He's paid like a dominant player is paid. I was glad when he was signed. But now I expect results commensurate to his deal.
Again, he is still ramping up after doing nothing in the offseason. I'm hoping of seeing him being the double digit sack he can be soon.

Or like he said, you’re trying to lower the bar because others aren’t putting up numbers either.

So me saying that Lawrence is "playing well" but that I'd like to see more from the highest paid DE is throwing shade at him?
X a million.OK. First, I really don't care that players on other teams are not performing. I am focused on what the Dallas players are doing. D-Law is all mouth right now and is not performing better than his poorly paid teammate.
He should be held accountable for his sub-par play. Throw in his salary, Dallas got hood-winked. Every player on the line should look in the mirror at their lack of effort and improve. If D-Law is the leader then he should lead. He should start by dominating his individual opponent, accumulate more sacks, make more tackle for losses and create more turnovers. Is it too much ask him to "do his job?"
He gets paid like a superstar therefore he should play like a superstar.

To me this proves the value of playing in the pre season. It bothers me that players are opting to not play during pre season and coaches are allowing it and then taking 2-4 weeks of regular season games to work out the rust. Work out the rust in the pre season so you hit the ground running when it counts. SMHIn D-Law, I'm seeing a DE who's rusty and may need time to get his mojo going. Here's hoping he'll return to form for the Saints and beyond.
