Now is the time to stand-up to daddy and tell him he no longer has what it takes to run the ship and make football decisions. Try it, he might respect you for it. Maybe. Come' on you Peter Brady look-a-like you, show us what you're made of.

Yeah try it. He might respect you for it...or he might throw your butt out all together.

But, yeah, definately worth the risk.

That beer swilling clown? Out of ALL the guys that looked bad in "Hard Knocks" he was the worst IMO. What a waste of space...............

Stephen is not going to do anything like that. He respects his Dad and relies on him for a lot of inspiration.

So he's as dumb as his father when related to football. great.

There is a way to launch a "respectful" coup. If he does it the right way, he may actually earn some respect from his dad.

Stevie does speak up to dad when it comes to draft and/or personnel stuff, I would hope he'd do the same in regards to the coaching situation. He is very bright and level headed, I cant imagine he watched these last two games and thought "wow, Wade really is gonna lead us to the promised land"

Nice post. I hope Stephen has power of attorney, can persuade some judge that his dad is mentally incompetent ... then hire Scott Pioli as GM. ...

I hate to say it, but Jerry killed the "goose that laid the golden egg" when he fired his great front office/scout guys in the early 90s that Tex and Tom had put together in the 60s/70s/80s. It's been downhill ever since.

In fairness to Jerry, thanks Jerry, but Stephen seems to be a little less flighty and maybe can make some hard decisions without being sentimental toward players/coaches that have hung around and ingratiated themselves, without good results. Frinstance, it seems Stephen is too smart to keep unproductive cronys like Larry Lacewell around for a decade ...

Speaking up is one thing. Telling him to step aside is altogether another.

Stephen is an embarrassment also. The fact that he is hired by daddy and sits & watches daddy burn down the house is evidence enough of his gross incompetence.

The guy helped daddy sign more bad contracts than you can count -- several in the last year!

Jerry is a football failure surrounded by enablers... all of whom are cheered on by total homers in denial.

We all just have to hope that the bad economy forces Jerry to sell the team to someone else.

Stephen only cares about money. I don't like the guy at all. This is the same guy who looked pissed off in the Mavericks crowed when they were in the first game of the NBA finals while everybody else around him was cheering. He only cares about the marketability of the Cowboys.

I'm a 3rd generation rancher. My dad would have never told his dad to "step aside" nor would i try and get my old man to "step aside" when he was alive. A son(a good one anyway) just doesn't do that to the man he's supposed to love and respect more than anyone alive. Daddy is boss, like it or not, just respect and bide your time sonny boy.

Would you have stood idly by while your dad ran the ranch into the ground? That wouldn't have been very "respectful" to the mouths you have to feed......

I want jerry out, check my posts, but a son should never do what this thread is suggesting. The team is worth 1.5 billion and is moving into a 1 billon dollar stadium. They are far from broke. They have some talent and can compete. I know it sounds as if i'm contradicting myself from my other posts from today, but i'm trying to put myself in Stephen's possition in this thread. No way in hell he tries to usurp daddy's power.

I agree. Let's get rid of a guy who doesn't mind spending money to win. Let's bring in Mark Cuban and hopefully he can trade guys like Tashard Choice so he can become a elite running back for another organization. Seriously, Jerry gave us 3 rings....I'm not saying we should be satisfied with 3 but you guys sound like you have been suffering for 50 years. Seriously. I just don't get the criticism of Jerry. I wish someone would help me understand.
