Romo may look like the greatest Dallas QB of all time right now, but you just wait until the league "figures him out." The only reason he is dominating right now is that it takes time for NFL defensive coordinators to understand his game. A few games worth of film and that will be it. After all, some of the greatest pundits in the media today have assured us that has already happened.
So, I suggest that we start Bartel next week. The league has very little film on Bartel, so according to the logic stated above, (and verified by leading NFL media commentators) Bartel will come through with a league leading performance, not because he is good, but because the league hasn't "figured him out." Apparently, that is why first-time starters routinely are among the league leaders in passing rating.
The only problem is that after Bartel tears up the league, pretty soon the defensive gurus will figure him out and we will have to find another QB around mid-season. It doesn't matter who, since all it takes for success at the most important position in the game is that you are a new player. It is amazing what you can learn by listening to the super-intelligent NFL sportswriters and media people.
