I don't think Orr will make it to the sixth round. I'd love it but I don't think so. I just read this about him.

Jonathan Orr, WR, Wisconsin, 6’3”, 190lbs.
The stud of practice. Orr caught every ball in every drill, including contact drills in which coaches grabbed, hugged, slapped, and pulled on him and/or the ball. At one point, a coach who couldn’t strip him clapped his hands and shouted, “Ooooh! Strong hands on this one, boy!” He faked out the best CB in the Shine Game, Maryland’s Gerrick McPherson, with a sick hip swivel, and caught a ball he could’ve taken to the house. With his size and skills, it’s no stretch to consider him a raw version of Chad Johnson. He may wind up in or near the first round now. If you don’t believe us, ask the line of scouts waiting to talk to him after the practice.

Yeah, it's a bummer. I was hoping to have a sleeper for my dynasty league, but looks like the word could be out soon. :(

Both Lawson & Parham will be gone by the top of the 2nd rd. The biggest reach is Johnathon Orr, who's stock shot through the roof during the East-West Shrine game practices, as well as looking good in the game. He could go as high as the second round. One player that I would love to see at the 3rd round pick, but who will be long gone, is Greg Blue.

Dude is a flat out playa. I watched him almost single-handedly wreck the Tennessee offense. Looked like he knew their playbook better than they did....and when he got to the ball, he layed the wood! He has rare speed & anticipation. His interception count was low in college, but I still think he is a true ballhawk who would solidify our secondary. I know we need OL & more size on the front seven on the "D", but I will be jumpin' & shoutin' should his name be called in the 2nd round. Greg Blue & Roy Williams will be a solid Safety tandem going into the next decade if the 'Boys decide to take him.

that would be a DREAM draft again although I don't think we need another DT. I think Pepper J is going to give us something. I'm cool with McNeil in the first, unless Holmes is there. Love Orr but probably will go higher. I like Maurice Stovall too.
And I would trade Glover and Ellis and a pick for a first rounder in 2007, so...(see sig below)

Greg Blue is the best Safety prospect - maybe Huff ahead of him.

I'd take either one.

Where do you pull this from?

Greg Blue is maybe the 5th or 6th best safety prospect. His coverage skills are suspect at best. How's 2 career INT's hit ya?

He's a total run support safety that lacks any coverage ability and is only known for highlite real hits.

The only thing that will keep him from being a 3rd round pick is the fact that he's a workout warrior.

Replace Marcus Mcneil with Brod Bunkley of Florida State, he's the best pass rushing DT outside of Claude Wrotten who has legal problems. Replace Gregg Blue with Jonathon Orr. Gabe Watson = Marcus Spears, underachievers who'll always have weight problems and motivational problems. Better to trade Kevin Burnette, Marcus Spears and Bledsoe for the extra picks. We need Glover to mentor Bunkley. Corey Chavous we be a better option at safety, he's a cheap vet who can still play. I know we just drafted Spears and Burnette, but they are underachievers and injury prone, better to get rid of them before other teams find out. Bledsoe, the biggest under-achiever of all, see Jake Plummers performance today;that's what we can expect from Bledsoe if he ever gets us to the playoffs, which I doubt.

Did you see how Ohio St. handled Quinn, now think what an NFL defense can do to him, besides, he's a top five guy.

We have too many needs to take a safety high.

OSU has AT LEAST 7 guys on that defense that will make it in the NFL and several who will probably be stars. That was the best defense in college football.
Quinn isn't exactly surrounded by typical ND talent. No running game to speak of, a good TE, two good but not great WRs. He still hung around 400 yrds and 3-4 TDs on everyone except OSU and should've beaten USC. Quinn has incredible moxie, NFL size, feels the pressure, mobile, can make all the throws, very smart, and is under the tutelage and offense of Weis. Kid is prepped for NFL success. I think he'll be the best QB to come out since Palmer and I look for him to have similar success.
too bad his sister is so fugly.

It amazes me that so many fall victim to "trade away our vets for unproven rookies"

Sure, it's nice to hope that we'll get some superstars eventually. But rookies are rarely superstars in year one. And if we don't have patience for some of the new guys, Pettiti, Spears.... even if we DO draft a superstar, we wouldn't be able to tell in thier rookie year anyway. We'd probably trade them away for a better spot in the draft.

The draft is like that shiny new toy, but keep it in perspective. It's shouldn't be the primary lifeline to build your team.
