This is just a small tidbit of info, and this thread probably won't run too long. I just thought I'd mention something to those that find it interesting.
As many know, a lot of people (including myself) hate the seafoam green pants the Cowboys wear with their white jerseys. Many think it needs to change to match the helmet, or simply eliminate the green and make it more blue tinted. A lot hoped a change would be made with the switch to Nike. It didn't happen.
One argument I have heard from time to time was that we would look like the Lions if we had pure silver pants and white jerseys. That was a valid point. But no longer. I have been researching changes other teams made with the new Nike uniforms, and discovered something about the Lions.
The Lions uniforms are no longer metallic silver. They have now switched to matte silver/gray.
This means that the Cowboys now being in silver pants, if it were to happen, would not be mistaken for the Lions, since the Cowboys pants would have the metallic sheen, and the Lions would not.
Another note about the pants. The office press release says this: "Color consolidation in the pant (3 blues to 1 consistent blue)."
Apparently before, in the pants themselves, we had three different blues. It seems Nike did do at least a little color coordinating and matched all the blues in the pants with the blues of the jersey. Although it is not very noticeable, and the helmet stripe is still Navy blue while the jersey is royal blue.
More about the other teams can be read about here: http://www.uni-watch.com/2012/04/04/team-by-team-breakdown-of-the-new-nikenfl-uniforms/
