Let's make it happen. Get everyone here to sign it and we can forward it to other Cowboys and friends for them to sign.

Then send the petition to some major news outlets and maybe they'll pick up the story and it will spread.

This forum could make some noise and put pressure on Jones.

What do you all think?

Who could get this going?

I nominate @Reality

How much money is that going to take out of Jones pockets?

Thats what actually matters.

You want to change Jones mind. Find another hobby for next 3 months, and dont buy any merchandise

Haven't bought any merchandise in a year at least.

This X 1000. If we the people FORCED their hands...outside of getting married and having children...it would be one of my proudest achievements!

The only way they will get the point is if the franchise starts losing money. No merchandise, no people in the stands, tv ratings drop

Which will be almost impossible. Didnt they generate almost 1b in sales last year

Some day someone will offer an idea, which stipulates fans completely disassociate themselves from the franchise in all forms--merchandising, watching games, visiting Cowboys fansites, etc.--as a method to coerce Jones out of his 30-plus year narcissistic death grip at general manager.

On that day I will say, "Well. That is something I have never read before."

I want Charlotte to take over. She's our last chance...

And I'm darn serious here.

Wasting your time, breathe and efforts.

Spend said time elsewhere

While this is probably true, this is the exact same reason why Jerry never changes. He's not being forced to change. If real change was demanded, Jerry wouldn't have a choice.

Your idea, why does someone else need to start it? :muttley:

NFL is like the federal reserve. They print money. And with the new TV deals on the way these guys will be even richer. Add in Dallas is one of, if not the most popular team in the league, good luck trying to hurt their wallet.
If every season ticket holder cancelled and got refunds, I bet they would refill those seats in a day.

Jerry will be the "GM" of this team till he dies or goes fully senile. Then it'll be his son, Stephen running the show player acquisition wanna be GM job

One thing (and I think this is a fair-and-correct assessment) most fans ignore is the fact Jerry Jones anointed himself General Manager and President atop his status as owner. Point being, Jerry Jones would make money regardless if he was not the general manager.

Jones' intractability for being general manager is an issue existing between his ears. It is inflexible, managerial, philosophical problem much more deep seated than most have, are or will ever self-acknowledge.

It has always been my opinion that the only way to manipulate Jones into compliance is not through his wallet but by attacking his narcissism. Maybe that approach would not work but one thing has been proven over the past 2 1/2 decades. People talk about financial boycotts but no one has ever been seriously committed into creating a well-thought, long-term plan for accomplishing the net goal.

There have been hundreds of thread boycotts created on CowboysZone since its inception. The only difference between all of them has been the wording. In other words, they have (and will continue to be) all the same.

People say Jones is insanity personified for trying to gain success his way year-in year-out but netting the same results. How is his behavior different from 20-plus years of boycott scheming?

There's no point in hiring a different GM when the guy signing the checks is still the same. People like to act as if GMs just have carte blanche to do whatever they want with personnel. That's almost never the case.

They could hire a GM, but it wouldn't be any different than McClay.

Have you thought about a billboard? Maybe get a billboard.

btw. This will definitely work

Jerry: “$6billion and one, $6billion and two, $6billion and...”

Stephen: “Daddy, daddy! Those guys over at CZ are talking about getting up a petition to make you to hire a new GM!”

Jerry: “What?...HUH??!?...oh. Now where was I? Oh yeah...$6billion and three, $6billion and four, $6billion and five...”

Second worse thread of the year. And the cherry on top was the threat starter stating he wants someone else to do the work for him. LMAO. As if a billionaire cares what random people in an online forum have to say.

As stated before, no one has ever put together a systematic plan to attack Jones's massive influx of money each year via merchandise, ticket sales, and tv money. Stop wasting time with second grade "I wish" petitions.

A nation wide boycott of at&t by all customers until they take their name off the stadium might put a dent in Jerry's wallet. But that's not gonna happen anytime soon.

We finally got one of those real QBs and real coaches. If we just get a real GM we will be set. :muttley:
