At least for me....

Romo led the team right down the field to put us in position for the win and actually threw the pass that would have given us the win. Hold or not, I still see Romo evading the rush and getting us the win.

Just trying to see some positives.

What I didn't like was how we started though.....the play-calling and the way that Romo looked made it blatantly obvious that there was no trust in the o-line.

But the way that he ended the game SHOULD make some believers out of the doubters, but they will find a way to blame Romo....

Romo + Austin were certainly positives. Heck, there are a ton of positives on this team. That's what is so frustrating. We negate our own greatness. Year after year. We have guys making huge plays only to have a drive killed on one crucial mistake. We have a defense that only gives up 6 points, only to watch our talented offense fizzle for 4 quarters.

This game should never have come down to that last play. We've seen Romo win comebacks before. Right now our team needs to show that they can start a game focused. All those blown opportunities in the first half DO matter.

We'll be fine in the long run. It's a tough loss, no doubt, but even the great Cowboy teams of the past had some crazy ball-busting losses as well.

To me, EVERY opportunity matters.

Same thing with games...EVERY game is important, how many times do you see a team miss the playoffs by one game? Every year. It could be that blown first game of the season that makes the difference....which is why I hate seeing people post "It's only one game....".

I feel awful for guys like Romo, Ware, Austin and Witten

They don't deserve this crap they are forced to deal with

Heh... friend of mine who's a Romo-hating Cowboys fan (she's a chick and doesn't really know football) texts me after the game, "thank your boy for this loss." I replied, "Alex Barron and Tashard Choice aren't my boys."

It's crazy to me how anyone could've watched the game and blamed Romo for the L, but the crazies are out there.

Not blaming Tony but he did throw an ugly pass on that last drive, should've ended the game right there with the easy INT.

But I do agree Romo is one of the few positives from this ugly game.

That pass Romo threw down the middle of the field in the last few seconds that should have been picked and the old Commanders yellow pants made me think Billy Kilmer was back in town with a Star on his helmet. Terrible decision and terrible throw. He got away with one there.

I'm still hopeful. We had about everything bad happen that could and still could have won the game.

Unless Colombo or Kosier dont come back, Barron and Holland will go back to backup roles (or in Barron's case, hopefully to the waiver wire). I think alot of things change with them out there.

Bryant will pick up more and more of what he's supposed to do in the weeks ahead. Austin was sensattional tonight. Romo was excellent. The RB's all ran well (save Choice's idiotic fumble on the pass). The defense was solid for the most part.

We just need to beat the Bears. I dont care if we win 7-6, but we need to beat them. We just cant afford to be 0-3 into the bye week. Houston will be extremely tough.

Great point. This could end up costing us a playoff spot, a division title, or a bye week. I hate the fact that it was a huge loss, but it was indeed a huge loss. Division losses (and wins) are designed to be huge. I can't help but feel like I'll be looking back at this game in December and saying, "If only we had taken a knee before halftime...":

Lett is 1000 times the player that Barron could even dream to be.

I know, but the ending to that game was the same as this one, I was like YEEEEEEEEEEEEEE........wait what?.........NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Romo getting us into position to win despite all the mistakes by the team as a whole is definitely a postive. What I want is for someone to enforce accountability. Cut Barron as an example and someone needs to verbally beat the tar out of Houck to start. That would be a real positive thing. Shake this nonsense up. I have full confidence Joe D. the enforcer can handle the duties.

I did like to see Romo march down the field like that. I always feel like they have a chance with him in there. That 4th down play was great, as was his scramble on the last play.

Austin was awsome again. Good to see. The D played very well overall. I also liked what I saw from Dez late in the game.

I dont walk away from this game as worried as some are. I am hopeful that the OL will get better when the starters are back. FG kicking is a concern, but it is possible to get a vet that can regularly make FGs of less than 40 yards if we need to.
