To begin with, let me give the meaning behind the initials (as if I REALLY needed to):
DMAC - Who else??
AJ - Adam "Pacman" Jones
CJ - Chad Johnson
Let's assume that we trade a 5th rounder for Pacman.
IF Jerry REALLY wants to trade up and get DMAC, and let's assume it's with Oakland for the 4th pick, then here's a possible trade scenario:
1. I would give up our 2 firsts, our 2nd, Akin Ayodele, and both 6th rounders. In return we get Oakland's 1st and 2nd round picks.
2. I would then use Oakland's 2nd rounder (which should be a very high one) and try to trade down into the middle of the 2nd round, possibly picking up an extra 3rd rounder or undoubtedly a 4th rounder. I would then use that middle 2nd round pick on a CB. If this is too risky, I simply stand pat with the high 2nd rounder and go CB. Either way, we should be able to get a VERY good CB with this pick.
3. I would use our 3rd rounder on either an ILB (Beau Bell of UNLV) or NT (Red Bryant of A&M). Either way, my targets in the 3rd and 4th round would be an ILB and NT. If we're not able to get an extra 3rd rounder, then I use our own 3rd rounder, packaged with our 2nd rounder in 2009, in a trade for Chad Johnson.
4. I would use our 4th on either ILB or NT.
5. If we pick up an extra 3rd rounder, I would send that extra pick and next year's 2nd rounder to Cincinnati for Chad Johnson. We would still have a 3rd rounder to use on either ILB or NT. In this scenario, I would think that ILB would be a higher priority.
6. I would use our 7th rounder on an offensive lineman, perhaps guard or center.
Again, just a possiblity...
