.... just a problem.

We've all identified the problems, actually we've beat and bludgeoned them to death since the Coarolina game. Let's bludgeon some more: our HC and OC suck, Dak sucks, our O-line sucks, our QB coach sucks. I use the word "sucks" to encompass and summarize every possible reason for "sucking" and to avoid verbosity. Yes, we all watch video, mostly created by someone else with nice pointers and graphics and words to show just how much we suck.

For the sake of brevity (meaning brief or short) let's talk about one problem that many have grappled on to since the days of a certain QB's broke back and eventual departure. Yah, you know who I mean, Dak Prescott. He has no arm strength, can't read the field, holds the ball too long, makes poor decisions, hasn't thrown for more than 200 yards in 8 games (I think I read that, I don't really keep track), is incapable of improving.

Fine, let's assume all of those descriptions fit. Even if he is lucky enough to win the next game, he still sucks. Even if he wins a few of the next 6 games (the weak part of our schedule), he still sucks and will never improve.

We are great problem identifiers, very few provide a solution. Ok I'll take a shot at it assuming that Dak will always suck.

1) replace him with Cooper "Gold" Rush or Mike " I ain't Danny" White. Anyone like that solution?
2) McClay, hit the road jack, and don't ya come back until you find a QB out there who is ready, willing and able to come here and take over, NOW. Like a Weeden, or a Cassel, better still, Kellen Moore is the QB whisperer and knows the offense, take his head set set off, give him a uniform and let's go man. Ready built solution already on the team
3) Do either of the above 2 or even both and when we go 4-12, head to the draft with a high #1 draft pick, draft a WR, DE, TE and another QB in the 4'th round or later

What do you think gents? Have a solution to the Dak conundrum?

We need to draft a QB. It’s too late to do anything this year.

The team was asleep at the wheel when Bridgewater and McCarron were available to be back up QBs that could be used. Rush and White shouldn’t be on an NFL roster.
Wouldn't matter unless we get rid of this coaching staff. They will not develop a young QB into a long term starter.

You wouldn't from the reaction of many fans, but we only lost to Panthers by 8 points and it only one game, 15 games left in the season. Coaches need to do whatever to get the confidence of this offense back on track. Up tempo, spreads, attack and stop letting defenses dictate your games plan. Maybe this is just me but you get the impression players are not playing loose out there ( maybe this is where they miss Dez). Don't sense a body language of swagger.....

Any talk of throwing in the towel or tanking after the first game of the season ridiculous. Pretty sure 110% of players and coaches would agree. Good lord, how to take a poster with this mindset serious?
Damn, imagine having this kind of person as your brother's keeper in an ally fight....:lmao:

How much do you want to spend on Teddy next winter? I think he's a FA. Could our coaching staff "undo" Teddy too?

So the solution is a new HC? I give you 7 new HC's who are all 0-1 after the first game. Some will even be 0-2. I suppose one game doesn't mean much UNLESS we're Cowboy fans then it means everything

First of all, Dez burnt his bridge about one day after release. Second, I cannot imagine Dez being a really happy team mate and locker room calming influence if he was still on the team. I may be wrong, Dez being on the team still may be the answer. I do think we miss Witt. Dez? Nah, I don't think he's anyones solution or he would be playing. I may wrong.

So your solution is to stick with Dak for 16 games and work with him. That would be my choice too. Hopefully the O-line play improves and the chemistry between he and the WR\s improve. I tend to be overly optimistic tho

We're 0-1 with one of the longest tenured HC, even Marv "Garrett's hero" Lewis won his opener. Garrett couldn't even do better than a rookie HC, instead he had his team ill prepared to start the season yet again. This off-season would have been an ideal time for a coaching change, we replaced every position coach already. We cut some vets, made over the WR corp, just remade most of the secondary and many pieces of our LB corp and said we were going to bring in a new offensive scheme with a still young QB and RB. We have one of the youngest teams in the league, but they're being taught the same old tricks that haven't worked for our veteran players.

A solution this season is to be scouting the college game and NFL assistants that would make for a promising HC to mold a young team. Garrett has already wasted the careers of some great players, we shouldn't let him ruin the futures of some promising young ones. Enough is enough.

And he decided not to play the starters in the pre-season. This offense was little prepared for the season.

Last year Garrett was getting schooled by new coaches. This year he is at least on the same level as them after week 1. Impressive.

Reasonable solution

Actually, it's an attempt to get fans to think beyond game 1. The problem has been expressed by many "Dak sucks". I challenge to offer a solution
We probably need another QB. We need new coaches. We need a WR group that will scare teams. We need to rebuild some of the OL. Do that and hope the defense continues to improve and maybe we can do something.
