Say Johnny "Football" Manziel comes out in 2-3 years. Say we sign Romo for 3+ years. Would you give a ton of draft picks for him? Worst case scenario he sits for a year or two and learns from Romo.

I say yes.

Romo only has about 2, maybe 3 years left anyways.

So we better start looking now.

Hopefully the O-line does not cut that short.

I think he has probably 4 good years left if the line doesn't kill him, but I agree. Not this off season, but within the next 3 we need to start looking.

I definitely think we'll have that fixed in 2 years. I actually think the way the team has been built so far that it would be a prime time to dump some picks for a very high pick in a QB.

How about using some high picks to actually protect the current franchise qb.

Agreed....

I still like him, just think he needs a better offensive scheme around him.

He's least of my worries

Yeah this offseason, and draft we load up on O-line and Dline.....maybe another pass rushing LB/DE

Another Safety....and we can pretty much do whatever we want after that the next few years

No. Unless the option spread completely overtakes the NFL in the next 2-3 years quarterbacks like this will live in CFB folk lore and folk lore only. Look at Cam, he even has the size and he's sucking royally

All of that won't be addressed in one offseason. We'd be the luckiest team on the planet if we hit on all of those positions. In two years if we draft well we could really set ourselves up for dumping picks. I'm actually starting to wonder if this has been the plan all along.

True, I think there's something to that.

In Free agency....we could target a safety, and maybe someone from the D-line or O-line.

Draft depending on what we do in free agency, we could do the same

Remember, we maybe only need about 2 O-linemen, 1 Safety, and 2-3 guys up front on D.

We can maybe address all that, if we do it correctly.

I probably would if Manziel is showing accuracy all that time. No, if he isn't.

I think we'll need a QB in this draft or the next. Groom him so he's ready once Romo retires.

There's some good second-tier prospects.

hell, I'd take Manzeil's offensive line over ours right now.

We still need depth. We'll have a very solid team next year or the year after. And I mean really solid. Also, just because someone is available in FA doesn't mean we can get them or afford them. There are the late round picks. Plenty of good teams hit on those picks. I think two years is more realistic though.

Agree.

Enjoy JF the college football player. Wait until 2014 to analyze him as an NFL player.

As of right now, many people don't think that he has NFL caliber arm strength. That could change since he is only 19 and a RS Freshman.
