A Quick Heads Up About Football Magazines

Usually the football magazines hit the racks around June 1st. I bet some stores will have them out today if you want to put a trip to Barnes & Noble on your agenda for the day.

I know I plan to.

I do hope that someone in the Dallas area will post pictures of the covers with Cowboys players on them.

Lindy's is usually my favorite. What are yours?

I bet we are the Super Bowl pick in several this year.

I also like PFWeekly's version just because of the information packed into it.

Their ranking lists have gone downhill since Buschbaum died. Nawrocki sucks.

I too appreciated Buschbaum's contributions. Strange looking guy but man could he do a nice job.

Since the invention of the Internet... yes. I used to sit around waiting for those things, just like I did the Dallas Cowboy Weekly mail-outs I used to get.

They were like the football holy grail or something.

Now, I flip through thinking "I already know all of this", then move on.

Before the age of computers/internet I got little info about the Cowboys--except an occasional bit in the newspaper or, if I was lucky, their game might be televised (rarely). It was tough being a Cowboy fan living in the East Coast during that time. Now I can get all the news I want in this forum, read the Dallas media & check out a few other Cowboys blogs. When I wake in the morning, the first thing I do is head to my computer to find out what's happening to my Cowboys. Life is grand.

Sporting News. Been buying them the past 18 years. Have found them to be informative and fairly accurate about their info.

That said, I buy about 4-5 each year because I'm a junkie like the rest of you.

You beat me to it. I picked up Lindy's today. It really ticked me off. Across the board they begrudgingly gave us our due.

I liked ProFootballWeekly's coverage better. They also had us in the Superbowl. They have us losing to New England.

I bet just about ever pre-season mag has us winning the NFC.
