On the punt return that the Vikes had for a TD, I heard that a Cowboys player was down on the field, as the game went to a break... I was getting ready for work, so I was in the bathroom, and I didn't hear who it was (the Vikings announcers didn't seem to care about identifying any player from the Cowboys except Watkins, when he made plays)...

So, who was the injured player, and what's the word on his status?? For that matter, were there any other injuries we should be concerned about in the course of the game??

Ogletree went down. I think it was an eye contusion. Reports are it is not serious.

On a side note. The vikes announcers were pitiful. Obviously they were going to focus on their players but you would have thought it was an intra-squad scrimmage by listening to them.

You can say that again. Most of the time they didn't even mention the names of the Cowboys players involved in the play.

You're not the only one who noticed that, pal... by the end of the first quarter I'd gone to NFL.com and printed out the Cowboys' roster, sorted in numerical order, so I could keep track of who was doing what...

They didn't even show Romo on the sidelines. I was beginning to question if he even made the trip until I saw him on the field shaking hands.

Was also glad to see no punches were thrown after the game tonight :)

Worst announcers ever. I swear they must have interviewed every single member of the Vikings on the sidelines.

I had to also go get a roster to keep track of the game. they were horrible! even when Cowboy players were hurt they never lt us know if they were ok or not...

it was the most one sided game call I've seen in a long time. I was wondering if the NFL network should broadcast the Cowboys announcers at a different time so we knew what was happening with them. I was thinking of printing the roster as well. Pretty pitiful!

I understand that it was the Vikings announce team, and they were gearing their preseason coverage toward the Vikes' fans, but those guys should have realized their game was going national on NFLN, and done a more professional job of covering it...

Last year the NFL network switched team announcers after halftime every preseason game. I have no idea why they stopped doing it this year.

The only game I got to watch the preseason that didn't have the other team's announcers was the Titans game with Troy and Buckeroo. I even switched off the NFLN tonight and went on-line to JustinTv but they carried the Vikings broadcast too. Sickening.

when there is an injury it is common curtesy to give updates... famil and friends may want to know that there loved ones are ok..

no matter whos team announcers are doing the game.....

also it was Mayek from NFL Network doing the game....

anyone notice that every single player the Vikings cut are going to contribute on an NFL roster somewhere this year,

I really liked how theyd say, "and we will check up on the injured cowboys player when we come back from this break." Then when they got back from the commercial theyd start talking about the vikings again, never to mention that injured player again.

They didn't even show a Cowboy player until they received the kick off, like 15 minutes into the program.

They were pimpin Vikings season tix every chance they got...clearly that was the agenda

I recorded the game and watched it as soon as I got home from work. Wow, I mean really. Sounds like by their assessment no other team should even show up this year. :bang2:

Exactly, one of the Viking receivers made a catch once and the announcer then said "Turn it up field"...lol.
