A reminder that Dak Prescott is the longest tenured starting QB in the NFL

It's obvious to most of here who has a brain, you two are not actual fans, just trolls. The richest man can't buy time but yet here you two are wasting it on a team you don't like or pull for. I don't understand it. The only explanation is you two just don't have life, so you spend it trolling our (not yours) team. Take up a productive hobby or something. My God! I like to rescue dogs. You two should try it. You might find a best friend(s) at your local animal shelter.

The negativity here brings this board down.
Only if you read the board. Don't read, no negativity. Now, go feed you Chihuahua.

I didn’t expect to lose to SF and GB at home in the playoffs. It certainly didn’t surprise me but we were favored in both games and had the better team throughout the regular season. Most here blame Dak but the defense sucked in both games. We were behind in both games before Dak ever got on the field. Our defense really struggles in the playoffs. No pass rush and can’t stop the run. Not to mention we can’t force any turnovers.
I agree. I just didn't think we'd beat the 49ers. I don't care that we were favored. We were favored in three straight NFC championship games in '80, '81, and '82, and I thought we'd be lucky to beat any of them. If we were home, we might have beaten one of them, or all three.

How? Easily. He is unchallenged. The Cowboys have never made a serious attempt to bring in any kind of possible replacement.
He’s been unchallenged because he’s been better than every QB we’ve brought in. We’ve drafted two QBs since he’s been here and we traded for Trey Lance who was the 3rd overall pick just a few years ago to prepare ourselves in the event Dak walked. Lance sucked! He couldn’t even beat out Cooper Rush. Had he looked good the last two summers Jerry likely would have let Dak walk. We just traded for Joe Milton. Dak has played steady the entire time he’s been here so there’s been no reason to make a serious attempt to bring in his replacement.

A serious attempt would require a first round pick. With the holes the team has that would be a dumb move. From what was reported yesterday Shedeur Sanders is currently the Browns fourth QB. Most of the QBs taken after the top 10 don’t pan out. If Dak doesn’t look good this season then a serious attempt at his replacement will be coming.

The bottom line is, we rarely, if ever, have anything close to a dominating team anymore. Not even close to one. So how are we going to blame any single individual. We have ho hum teams that start off good, then taper off towards the end of the season. What do you expect in the playoffs?

I thought we would beat San Francisco in the 81 title game. They had a young team and I thought the Cowboys experience would be too much. However, I didn’t think we had much of a chance against Philly and Washington on the road.

You don't tell us how to post, but you're getting upset or whatever it may be about how we post. I mean if we all said the same thing on here, wouldn't it be pretty boring???

On another note, if I don't look at the avatar for you and mountain, I swear it's the same person! (It must be the M in the names!) (Please don't judge me lol)
I'm not getting "upset"...and yes this place would be boring if everyone posted the same....meanwhile you guys all post the same which is my point.

I have the distinct feeling that threads like this will be more entertaining than our season.

Keep clubbing each other and change not a single mind nor opinion. Reminds me of a naked man fight in a lockeroom.....nobody truly wins that one.

I have said it before, but I wish the cowboys were a team that drafted QBs more often, even if it is just for a backup and the current Quarterback is fine.
They've addressed it though between Rush, Mike White, Trey Lance, Dinucci......they've had guys. Now if you want guys to actually challenge Dak or anyone at QB then yeah you're gonna have to spend higher then a 5th or 7th like they've been doing.

But at the same time I don't know how smart it is to do. I know people think it was smart for the Packers to use a 1st rounder on Love.....but they are in the same boat now that they were with Rodgers so it hasn't really proven to work.

He has very similar statisitics as Romo had. I'm just saying there was nothing deceptive about the claim that he only had 3 4000+ yard seasons in 9 years. AC could've said, well he still had some decent seasons on some of those other years and that would've been okay. Facts are facts and indisputable. So like Romo, he might of not had it more than 3 times because he is injury prone. Do you think he will achieve it this year?
I mean its clear to the unbiased eye Dak is a 4k yards guy if he's healthy. He wasn't always that guy. It didn't start until 2019 IMO. He became a much better passer and had to because the run game was deteriorating. And he also had some weapons at wide out. Its like saying Dak is a 400 yard 5 TD rushing guy based on his early years. We wouldn't say that.

The Cowboys have never made a serious attempt to bring in any kind of possible replacement.
Lance was a serious attempt. It wasn’t about him just being the backup. The Cowboys were thinking starter down the road especially with Dak up for a mega deal. There’s no doubt in my mind had Lance looked really good when he first got here and easily beat out Cooper Rush during the preseason last summer and looked exceptional doing it, Jerry would have likely made Dak play out the season without a new contract. Dak wouldn’t be here right now had Lance been the backup and played great replacing him. That would have been a golden opportunity for Lance

After Dak's performance last year, there should be open competition in TC
In fact, Schottenheimer should demand it.

They drafted Aaron Rodgers when they had a quality #1. Eagles always seem to get quality Quarterbacks and backups in recent history and they don't tend to hold onto them. Cowboys could try a little harder.

You guys will hate him too lol. Everyone loves the backup until the backup comes in…then he’s public enemy number one….to the point you guys forgot you hated Romo but would rather go back to him long as it isn’t Dak.
I hated Romo too?

I learn so many things about myself from you.

But I already have.
10 years worth even.
2 more just seems so unfair to the other 31 teams.

Oh well,
let 'em all be "jealous" haters as the team continues to accomplish so much.

Just slightly sarcastic.
Slightly.
LOL

Cowboys!
Aye if you've waited 10 years or even 30 years what's another one lol?
