It's difficult to envision this place in its real context. The parcel butts up to the service road for south bound Dallas North Tollway. I suspect the avenue at the bottom of the Cowboys grounds is Warren. Which means behind the long office building on the grounds would back up to the tollway.

Oddly enough I got transferred to a facility and am working in Frisco. I work in a building on Internet Street, with is the crossroads in the lower left of the Cowboys parcel. I saw the construction, but wasn't very curious until one day I was sitting at the red light at the service road and Warren. I looked over and saw the Star on a sign. I read the sign and said "No shate?"

I can see this from the offices where I work. It's a pile of dirt and cranes at the moment.

You are now the official Cowboys Zone mole. Updates and pictures will be needed during the construction project. Upon completion of this project, and throughout the years, we will need visuals with relevant information regarding potential free agents visiting The Star, as well as draft prospects, and any other news worthy developments.

Cowboys Nation is depending on you. Do you accept your new role?

1. Tina Fey, not Palin.
2. How far from Highland Park? Does Jerry have a fifty minute commute?
3. How many times a year do the players actual have to go the stadium? 11-12?
4. The net value of the Jones family land holdings in Texas?
5. They still in the oil business?
6. Priority for using the covered field during bad weather? High School, Cowboys.
7. Where are the non-New England video towers in the picture of the "Star"?
8. If the players live around the practice area, will the team bus them to ATT?

Not if by helicopter. And who cares how long it takes if he's in the Party Bus? :D

Actually about 40 miles, but 50 minute drive.
And they did break ground, there was an article on in, not quite a year ago. But not sure of that.

That's about how far 49ers HQ and practice facilities were when they played at Candlestick. Shouldn't be an biggie.

It’s very rare for such a wide array of Cowboys employees – from sponsorship sales and marketing gurus to legal experts and DallasCowboys.com reporters – to gather in one room at Valley Ranch, but that’s exactly what we did on Tuesday morning. We were invited to learn more about our future home – the future headquarters and world-class training facility of the Dallas Cowboys, officially named The Star.

AT&T Stadium needs that star in the middle.

Here's some virtual reality aerial view footage I found on YouTube.

Love the "Star" Trek plug at the end.
