Against a team like Denver and with a defense like ours...
Why not try an onside on every kickoff? The first one can be a surprise, increasing our chances. The rest are not a surprise but they are about 26% successful, so we have a 1 in 4 chance to get the ball. That's much higher than the stop percentage.
Plus, your D ends up on the field less and knows that all they have to do is buckle down and get FGs...
