on Defense:

1) be creative with Blitz packages. Saftey and Corner blitz....cut off the outside for Vick. For as good of a year as Vick is having...he has missed a ton of throws (wide open receivers) when sitting in the pocket. Limit stunts to inside and most of all control your gap.

2) Unleash Lee. Lee has the reaction and speed to make a difference. Blitz him, have him spy Vick. Make him very involved.

3) Hit Desean Jackson early. What we are learning about Jackson is he doesnt like contact. Jenkins needs to be physical and early with it.

On offense:

1) perfect timing for Ogletree....bubble screens. The eagles had practiced against it...but until they can shut it down during game...keep feeding it to them.

2) Attack DB Dimitri Patterson (who is filling in for Hobbs who is out for the year). Patterson is 5-10....Roy Williams is 6'3". Patterson had 1 interception in 4 years before 2010 (2010 he has 3 int).

3) Screen passes to Cole side. Trent Cole is excellent pash rusher but tends to over-pursue....ideal for screen passes to Felix Jones ....who has played well against Eagles.

sound like a very solid plan.. on paper. it's all about execution

I watched Chicago do a great job using the zone coverage to take down Philly. At least in zone guys can react back to the QB running than playing man on man where defenders have their back to the QB.

You need to pressure Vick from the left side where he can see you and force him to scramble to his RIGHT.

We need to run the ball effectively or run screens effectively to slow down JJ's blitzes on third downs.

Playing Zone is better because your back is not against Vick but your CB can't let Macklin and Jackson get behind you NO MATTER HOW DEEP they are running because Vick has a CANNON for arm.

Hit Vick as much as possible,he becomes erratic with his passing if he feels the pressure and hits coming and use a safety to spy on him, sounds pretty simple to me.

Lots of zone coverage for certain. In addition to helping limit Vics scrambles, it will also minimize the opps for long McCoy runs.

Be patient. I don't many if any heavy blitzes. Send between 3-5 rushers most of the game.

I think we should play Nickle most of the game. Two DL, Spencer and Ware at DE, James, Lee and 5 DBs.

This gives us a lot of speed to track down and contain Vic.

I would like to see us bring a DB or two from the perimeter often. Send people after Vic with enough athletic ability to actually make the play on him in the backfield. Bears and Giants did this.

Here's a play/strategy I'd like to see a bunch.

Out of the formation I described. Have both DL rush up the middle and two DBs coming wide on each side.

Ware, Spencer, James and Lee drop into zones with 3 DB's playing deep zones.

Then change it up and have Ware or Spencer rush from one of the sides in place of the DB who stays in coverage.

I like everything you said for the exception of blitzing. Lane integrity is going to be extremely important in this one.
