Ware as a situational pass rusher would be it. I bet he could come I'm right now and give us 7 to 8 sacks.

I'm not sure if it would be that many, but he'd give opposing offense's more to think about than what we have there right now.

And if nothing else, I think he'd make an excellent coach and role model for our first round draft pick.

If anything at least he might take some of the pressure off our other DE's. Marinelli always says we try to get the best 4 guys in there to rush the passer, and having 2 legit rushers at DE would certainly force the opposing OC to make some adjustments.

I agree. I think that given his body type and attributes, those are the players he should be modeling his game after. He could certainly benefit from watching Lawrence's hand usage.

It's hard to argue that our problem on defense is the pass rush -- at least not this year. If Ware was going to stop the run on 1st and 2nd down then I would understand the sentiment here.

Taco isnt strong enough, quick enough, or mean/passionate enough.

The strength thing and the passion we could possibly improve with a good off season or two. Quickness, not much he can do about that.

If he’s healthy he could still be an effective situational rusher
Not advocating us signing him but I think he can still be effective in limited snaps
