A theory to consider

I am going to pump some sunshine at you.

What would you think about this team actually not being concerned with the losses before the LA game.?

What if taking those games less intensely in order to save the energy for Philly winning the division, securing a home playoff game and reset for the playoffs.?

Is this possible? Of course this is not something you would discuss with the media in general.

But as it played out..privately this has to have been discussed internally.

I would not know but some switch got flipped Sunday.

Hopefully the lights stay on in the room.

Are you from the future?
Are you, like, a prophet?

Hollah

Ahhhh! You're nuts!!!

Its an idea that as dumb as showing highlight reels as motivational tools because you have failed at motivating for 13 weeks on your own.

And you have to ask yourself, why did it take 13 weeks for the switch to come on?
I think Goff hit that switch with his thumb.

Here is my theory Dak's injury prevented him from doing Tony Romo circa most of his career audibling out of runs to pass. I think Dak's contract has been at the forefront, I think he became pass happy.

If this was the strategy I'd say it was a bad one. We are basically a loss on the road to a division rival from probable elimination.

I honestly mean no offense, but I would put that logic up there with the skins' fans' logic a few years ago when they got blown out by the Cowboys early in the season and justified the lopsided loss by claiming that maybe the skins were only using a small fraction of their playbook so that they could ambush the Cowboys with the entire playbook later in the season. It makes no sense.

No, this is not possible. They couldn't know how the Eagles season would play out, and especially not the loss to Miami, so what you are talking about would have been intentionally creating a possibility that they would already be out of the running before they even got to the Eagles game.

Not to mention that a team (players and coaches) can't just assume a switch can be flipped on demand.

What happened this week just happens in sports. It's why they play the games instead of giving the win automatically to the favored team. It's why it's called a competition. The Cowboys just happened to play up to their full potential this week while avoiding the nagging mistakes that have hurt them much of the year. Whether that continues going forward is anyone's guess.

no, before the 3 game losing streak they still had a shot at a 1st round bye

always try for the bye week
