Alot of guys wonder why Roy didn't have more catches last year. Say Patrick Crayton is not a #2 WR because of his catches. I just want to point out and remind everyone that there are only so many balls to go around. Statistically it is impossible for Witten Crayton, TO (now Roy Williams), ect to all post 70+ catch seasons. It is not a coincidence that Dallas Clark went from a 25-35 catch per season TE to a 60+ catch TE the season that Marvin Harrison was no longer catching 80+ balls.
With both Witten and TO (now Williams expecting to get 70-80 catches a year), and also having Marion Barber and Felix Jones getting 40 to 50 balls and don't leave out 20-30 balls for Martellus Bennett. All we can realistically expect for our #2 WR is about 50 MAYBE 60 catches, with the #3 guy putting in maybe 30-40 catches. There are always only so many completions to go around.
