Byron Jones has been the best player for the Cowboys this season. Although it’s only been three games, he has certainly shown that his adjustment from S to corner has been a good one.

I’ve always felt Byron Jones was unfairly criticized on these boards. The only thing he has lacked in his time here was getting more pics. One of his most underrated qualities is durability. He’s never missed a game due to injury.

Assuming he continues his excellent level of play, the team may want to consider re-signing him before his price gets even higher. The market for good corners is always very competitive.

I agree. He has been remade under Richards. I say pay him good money if he plays well this year.

Tank needs to get paid before Byron "No Picks" Jones.

Don't worry, the Byron haters will soon be in. Already seen some posts earlier in the week, how he sucks. As well as Awuzie.

I think they both will be a pretty good duo at CB. Too bad we can't get that at S yet. Though I think Frazier is under rated, and still need to see Woods some more.

My standard as well, if he's gonna make Patrick Peterson, *previous versions* ie...Richard Sherman, Revis island type money, I need to see both the momentum changing and pick sixes that go along with that type of contract.

Agree on everything except unfairly criticized. As one of his biggest critics, I think it was fair criticism of his play as a Safety. Clearly, all our ire should’ve been directed at the coaching staff for being idiots and forcing him to S when clearly we were missing out on a great CB.

PS, yes the durability thing is big too. He pulls down a few INTs and I’ll start the movement to get him an extension

After the stadium gets built in LA and then Vegas, JJ will have the 5th most impressive stadium in the league.

So he'll be planning a new one.

I was one that was critical of him and called him a "Combine Warrior" and he pissed me off with his comment after the GB playoff game that his coaches told him to play it like that. He has played very well so far but to get the big bucks, he needs to get picks. That's what separates the great ones from the good ones.

And if there's a team in need of picks, it is this one. The offense needs a short field.

He's sticking out like a turd in a punch bowl.
