Here is a tweet that I got from JJT that I found was interesting in that these Dallas media guys really have a high opinion of themselves:

It's a joke that Tony Romo, face of the franchise, hasn't talked about the new head coach. And it's a joke the Cowboys haven't made him talk.

And here's my response:
maybe he doesn't want to talk with u guys. That's the problem with the Dallas media. You think it's all about u. Ask for 1.

I am starting to warm up to his columns this year, but this guy is really arrogant in that Romo should be made to talk to them. Maybe Romo doesn't want to take the focus away from the team. Maybe he feels that he is a player and he doesn't need to comment on the new coach. Maybe he is a player that just does his damn job whoever the coach is. Maybe too many of these players need to start doing what Romo does, his damn job.

JJT's sports writing is garbage. Has always been garbage.

Pretty much the entire Dallas media is. Gosselin is great for the draft, but he sux at everything else. DMN and FWST both have a rather large collection of stooges right now.

Yeah, agreed. I think Jason knows this too.

Why waste his time with someone that will twist whatever he says to fit his own agenda?

They're basically all like that. It's like they think their job is to be the judge and jury about how this team is run. Oh sure, columnists give their opinion, but even the beat guys like Archer act like they know how everything should be done, and -- surprise, surprise -- when it's not exactly to their liking, they throw a fit.

Personally, I wouldn't care if the players never talked to these jackwagons. Nothing good ever comes out of it anyway.

And I'll say it again... Coverage of the Mavs and especially Rangers isn't like this.

In general, injured players outside of TO, don't do a lot of talking to the media.

Because if he doesn't talk to them, that gives them the free pass to write whatever they want.

Anyone remember that? Which reporter said that?

It was over Roy not talking I'm pretty sure.

They all think they are going to ESPN. Like half of the DMN did in the 90's. JJT is terrible. I have seen him at training camp he is arrogant on a personal level as well and as far as his reporting he doesn't even watch practice he talks to other reporters and texts on his phone, actually spent most of practice with his back turned then reported on what practice was like. He is simply a sensationalist and and tabloid reporter.

The vast majority of sports media is wearing red noses and riding on unicycles right now, not just the DFW area.

You should read the stuff in the Washington Post. Kornheiser and Wilbon write good articles though, even though Wilbon sucks on TV.

I have never seen anything like it. Tony Romo absolutely cannot do anything right, even when he doesn't do anything at all.

JJT is garbage.

I exchanged a few Emails with him previously when I took issue with some of his content. He told me I sounded bitter, that if I didn't like his work I should stop reading, and that he had "reached the pinnacle" of his career.

No kidding.

Well I hope you defriended him on twister just to teach the hack a lesson.

I hear what you mean. Last year I hosted an online Cleveland Cavaliers show through a radio station that I've been affiliated with for 12 years and it happens to be owned my my wife's family :D. Anyways I had the privilege of getting media access to almost any game I wanted and about 90% of the Cleveland media was arrogant and pompous. I wonder if a lot of these guys get big heads because of what they do? Of course not all the media is like this but it's definitely not just in Dallas where you'll find guys like JJT!

The funny part is most players who are hurt and can't really help the team don't give many if any interviews. I know this is a different situation but the Dallas media won't die if he doesn't say anything right now. JJT makes it sound as if it's some kinda conspiracy theory why he won't talk.

I like what you tweeted back to him. If he REALLY wants an interview.......just ask for one!!!! These media guys are not really to bright are they???

All of them say that.

Every single one of those writers in the Dallas media says that except for Todd Archer.

I remember that. Seems like it was JJT. Or maybe Calvin.

Right on the money.

They also hate the fact that Garrett is 'looking forward' when it comes to the mistakes of the past rather than commenting on it and giving the media a 'blame game' to run with.

Garrett is media savvy.

These guys should get used to having to work for a living again.
