He didn't say that. He did say he was comfortable with the Jones family and he was all in when he met Brian and having Dak was a slam dunk.

Eberflus was hired on Jan. 28. No-Schott was hired Jan. 25. So obviously they didn't hire Eberflus before they knew who the head coach was going to be. Now, whether Eberflus was their idea or the coaches, I don't know, but I'm sure they discussed it during the process of hiring No-Schott. For all we know, No-Schott may not have had a preference while the Joneses did, or No-Schott could have suggested it.

But it is another example of why the structure here is a problem. Like Jimmy once said, Jerry thinks he's the head coach. He wants the coordinators to work for him, not the DC to work for the HC. Yes, I know Jerry signs the checks, but you should understand what I mean.

I get it. But I will at least give them credit for actually doing a good job at getting DC’s. They suck at hiring HC’s but they generally go get top DC’s.
