A week 10 bye week, will it be a blessing?

It will be no different than a bye any other time if after week 7 or 8.
I do like the bye later in the year though. I remember when we always had it week 4 or 5 or 6, I hated that.
With all the Thursday night games, and T-Day game, it may come in useful. Especially before the gauntlet of games after the bye week they will have.

So we get some 10 day rest between a few of those games. But a brutal stretch against, not just Philly, KC, Detroit.
But it will be starting with a MNF game at Vegas, it will be 4 games in 18 days. Yeah, NFL is concerned about player safety.

A MNF game at LV, 6 days later, the Eagles, at least it is a home game for once before the T-Day game, 4 days, KC, 7 days at Detroit.

So maybe that week 10 bye will be a blessing.
 
It's after the bye that it gets a little crazy. Monday at the Raiders, then Sunday the Eagles at home, then a short week to Thanksgiving with the Chiefs, then another Thursday game with the Lions.

Exactly those early bye weeks are killer!! Let me ask you this, what if they made a league wide bye week??
 
Dallas almost needs to be 6-3 at this point in the season if they want to be in the hunt for the NFC East title

That's what everyone has been saying since the schedule got released. Many don't think they can get 6 W's by then.

Fans would hate it. And they would lose too much money.

I know some fans won’t care, as they only watch Dallas games. As fans of, say Philly, only watch Eagles games. But many others, fans of all teams, like to watch all the games available.
So if their team is not playing they will want to watch other games.

I hate our schedule. Can;t just do Sunday one/four a clock EST games? Gotta be Sunday/Monday/Thursday late games?

Well..at least jerry cashing checks about it.

Man they can add some kind of NFL activity or something maybe like an army Navy game hell let some NFL players be the coaches

Lol that's exactly how I am, it's hard to watch other teams play (cue BDC hating on me that I don't watch the games, 3,2,1).....

I could see that, but couldn't they add something to fill in the spot, hell they're pushing for another game why not allow that to help soften the blow

We open on a Thursday, so we get a mini bye or an extra 3 days rest before playing the Giants in week 2.

After the bye we have a horrendous stretch of 4 games Raiders, Eagles, Chiefs and Lions on M/S/Th//Th - 4 games in 18 days.

This pretty much happens to us every year, specifically for marketing reasons, with the Thanksgiving day game.

Injuries will pile up and if we make the playoffs, we will get physically dominated because of it.

When Romo was QB, the media would say the Cowboys collapse in Nov/Dec every year.

We would always have OLine injuries during this stretch of time, but for some reason, people can not analytically figure it out and just blamed Romo.

GM Jethro is more concerned about TV ratings than winning games.

Yep...follow the money. I blame the Mr. Bigs. They set up the fans. They tell them what to spend their money on. If you don't present it you don't buy it.

If they didn't show Cowboys every game and in the primest time....would anyone care? They probably wouldn't notice unless you spoon fed them.

I'm not sure I ever bought something from an advert...but apparently it works. It's an interesting subject. "how to win friends and manipulate people".

Oh wait, that's a different book. :)

I think on a short week, they should expand the roster size for both teams.

Playing 4 games in 18 days, is a complete disregard for player safety. Not sure how the Players Union is ok with this.

We will most likely lose 3 out of these 4 games, assuming we beat the Raiders. I know already, it will be Dak's fault, just like it was Tony's fault during his tenure.
