Period.

No matter how ugly, no matter how it happens, a win is a win.

Yes, there are problems that STILL need to be fixed....

Yes, Jason Garrett still has work to do....

No I don't know if he is the long term answer at coach...but neither do you!

Yes, we are a .500 team. We are what our record says we are....

Yes, we still have a chance to run the table and make some noise....

Yes, we have been riddled with injuries.......

Yes, our O-Line is in the toilet now...

BUT BOTTOM LINE...WE WON THE GAME!!!

Why is that so hard to accept? The POWERHOUSE (said TIC) Texans played a 1-8 team today and almost lost as well, but won in overtime, just like we did. But I guess that's because they are so good, right?

Come on folks, a little sanity goes a long way here....climb back off the ledge and realize this ain't the end of the world.

:D

there is a reason it is good to play bad teams.

end of the season when they slot playoff teams no one cares about how you won games. this crappy OT win counts same as if we beat them by 50.

as tough as the first half was to watch the second was quite fun.

this was not a very good cowboys team today. not minus the 7-10 guys we have out. sean lee, murray, tyron smith, barry church, dan connor, costa, kenyon coleman, sean lissemore, mike jenkins not to mention the guys like matt johnson, caleb mcsurdy and danny coale who were hurt early and never had a chance to help.

so we should all be very happy to get a win and hopeful some of these injured bodies start returning.

Im in on this one.

Ill sure take it... Imagine how it would feel if it was a loss.

That being said, I think I aged 10 years watching the game.

I know im in a much better mood after a win no matter the opponent or how ugly the win. I'm felling good right now my friends.

This.

There are no good feelings after a "pretty loss" and I'm in a much better mood after an "last fart" picture ugly win. If you're confused, go to Off Topic, look up the Wacky images thread, and in the last few pages look up the flies on spandex photo I contributed.

Even a win that is that ugly feels better than a loss. 10 out of 10 times, no matter how much gagging.

Great win. Beating the Skins on Thursday will make it three in a row.

It's getting to be quite a list. Connor was back, though. He made that goal line stop late in the 4th.

Unbelievable to think our last winning streak was in November of 2011.

I will play that game, why is it when we win difficultly we suck and almost lost but no one will say we almost beat the Ravens on the road or almost beat the Giants at home. In those games we suck for not being able to close out.

I agree with the OP.

Every week in the NFL, almost any team can win the game they play.. whether it be because of their good play or the opponent's weak play.. I really believe that the way this team can play, if the offense clicks, they can beat anyone on any sunday...

I don't bet on it to happen.. The team has burned me too many times in the last five years especially but the defense is doing enough of the job to win most games. Their are still issues but I accept this win and realize the season isn't over by long shot.

I suppose there is the silver lining that they have zero chance of being overconfident against the Commanders.

What a game it was to watch, the ebb and tide was dramatic. Exciting yet not exciting! The Browns showed up at our place and played a heck of a game. You cannot circle a win in the nfl and this game proved it. A win...I'll take it too as noone cares how you got the win in the grand scheme of slotting the playoffs if we luck out and get in.

This is all true.

My problem is this -- every single day of the week -- nearly every week of the year I spend a certain amount of the day (usually in the morning shower) convincing myself of all the reasons why I believe the Cowboys have a plausible shot at winning the Superbowl. yes, Superbowl. It go through elaborate exercises in my mind and play out a multitude of scenarios and I do this up to the very day the Cowboys are eliminated from playoff contention. Lately, while the team <is> winning games, the terrible play in the trenches has been a stark reminder to me this team probably doesn't have a shot to make any noise in the playoffs. They quite possibly have the worst OL in the NFL and the DL is terrible to (3.5 sacks for the season and allowed 100+ yards per game on the ground and 4.0 ypc).

Summary - I am enjoying the winning -- however, I am not blind to the fact that a team with an OL and DL as terrible as the Cowboys has no real shot to fulfill my 2012 SB dream.
