Aaron Donald record breaking contract

If the cap goes up by crazy numbers the next few years like people predict it will, Rams will have been geniuses to get these guys locked up for so many years before contracts balloon out of control.

If it doesn’t, then they’ll flame out faster than the Broncos when they went on a spending spree in 2012-14. That lasted about 3 years before they started making cost cutting moves.

I thought the Suh deal and backfire would of cooled teams in not giving non QB's over 20mil. Nope.

D-Law asking price may of gone up, but he isn't worth near what AD is worth.

I can’t believe we missed out on this beautiful man by two picks.
We got a pretty decent consolation prize....

It means the same as it does with all professional athletes contracts. Lawrence's contract will be dedicated by the demand for his services. Contractual terms may be the same as Donald's, higher than Donald's, or lower than Donald's. Economics drive contracts far more than finance and/or perceived merited performance.

Because... they’re giving it back to the players instead of the owners just pocketing it?
